Dec 01, 2025Good for a layover
Nice place close to the airport. We spent one night on a layover at the start of a vacation and the hotel provided everything we needed. Well equipped room, good WiFi, a nice restaurant and lobby bar, and complimentary (if crowded and a bit hectic) breakfast. Effective HVAC and large tv with plenty of channels, a fridge and coffe maker too.

Nov 26, 2025$500 smoking SCAM.
Another Hilton Diamond Member here. Outside of the issues with the Internet, like many others have reported, I received a $500 charge because some sensor supposedly detected smoking in my room. I am currently filing a complaint with Hilton as the practice is not consistent with any other property I have stayed at and there is no physical verification of the detection system. I hope that This property get this straightened out and that I get credited this $500.

Nov 18, 2025Why I Liked It -- And Will Be Back
OK -- from a Lifetime Diamond point of view: Stayed one night (after a cruise) and was not charged the $500 smoking amount that many here have commented on....so now let me say why I like it: 1. Renovation and Rooms are nicely done and staff was attentive to bring us quickly the extra items we asked for. Also the staff was extremely accommodating and worked hard to get us into a room early -- (Note: This is a heavy used hotel for cruise folks so it takes a while to get folks out, rooms cleaned and you in) so we spent 2 hours in the Casino and were in our room by noon (got to hotel by 10am) 2. Location: A Pueblo grocery store less than 3-min walk and an $8 Uber ride to the airport and took 7 minutes to get there. 10/15 min walk to the beach and there are a few good places to eat close by. 3. Amenities: We did not do breakfast buffet or the evening social and instead got free (if you win) drinks and food in the casino. Important to note you can ask for sandwiches, soups and drinks from the casino hosts that are free (you just tip) and quite good. Nice bar and new onsite restaurant that I hear was ok (8 page menu) and not too expensive. 4. Staff: Extremely helpful, nice and supportive and I did advise them that many folks had negative reviews on the $500 smoking sensor in the rooms -- she smiled and said they were aware. Again..no charge for us..... Finally rooms were comfortable, beds worked well and water in the showers were very, very hot. Wifi fast...... If coming here -- expect the hotel to be full, many cruise folks and room availability will take time to get into your room (if seeking an early check-in) before check in time. Store your luggage and go off and see the island....or old San Juan ($12/15 Uber ride one way) Will be back in Feb 26 for another cruise...

STAY AWAY!
This hotel has a scam going where they will put a letter under the door stating that you broke their no smoking rule and will add a $500 charge to your bill! We did not smoke in the room, and although we made our point known they did not remove the charge. Look at other reviews that state the same thing. STAY AWAY!!

BE AWARE – STAY AWAY from this hotel. You will be glad you did...
Based on my experience, they will lie, rip you off, and treat guests with complete disrespect and without any consideration or effort to uncover the facts or truth. According to them, a sensor indicated there was a smoke-producing product detected inside my room (I do not smoke and did not allow anyone to smoke inside). This resulted in an erroneous $500.00 smoking violation added to my bill, which they forced me to pay while completing the checkout process despite an open Guest Assistance case. Not only did they disregard my repeated requests to investigate or consider the possibility of faulty equipment, but the treatment I received from Alejandro Rios Cardona, Director of Operations, was humiliating and offensive. He loudly stated he doesn’t have time to call back any of the guests or to deal with complaints. He showed zero professionalism and was belligerent. The management of this hotel has no morals and uses false accusations as a pretext to exact excessive amounts of money from their guests. They should be investigated and punished to the maximum extent of the law. Do yourself a huge favor and choose another hotel.
