Worst place to stay in San Juan
I checked in on Sunday September 22,2024 upon arrival front desk agent Melvin who checked me in was very cold and extremely rude, no smile, no welcome to the hotel. He was more concerned with making a sale of how many more people I was traveling with and his upgrade sale. I was given a room and the whole carpet wet and smelled like mold. The only good service was the housekeeping cleaning I was grateful. Please do not eat breakfast the pancakes are hard and horrible. Upon checking out on Wednesday September 25 ,2024 worst front desk agent BLANCA I encountered in my life. I asked her why I was getting charged more than I was told she explained and I understood she began to raise her voice saying that you people come all the time with 4 people what to be charged for 2 people I left hotel feeling heartbroken the way I was treated. Please do not stay at this property. The manager OCar has no control of the front desk agent . He needs to train team better customer service. All concerned about his upsells and not the customer’s stay.

Honest review
Parking accessible and fast but not free Check in was fast and easy Room is HUGE and well equipped with small fridge and microwave and sink 2 tvs and a well furnished living room and dining room with a bedroom door for privacy Hot tub was nice and hot, pool looked beautiful and clean not cramped, enough seating for people and free towels. The gym was well equipped with cable machine you will need ankle straps to do any leg workouts but does have several upper body attachments. They have a bike, 2 treadmills, an elliptical machine and a nice rack of free weights with 1 bench, few medicine balls and a big ball and a mat. I was pleased with the gym -The bad- The bad thing is there is no free 24 hour coffee or after breakfast hours coffee for guest staying and you have to use the coffee machine in your room and u have to continuously ask for creamer. -Suggestion- The hotel should really consider keeping a coffee station open till 8pm at least. Especially for the weekends when there are people who do not drink alcohol they don’t need to go to their rooms to get a coffee and it’s available downstairs. The gym would really benefit from a stair master.

Convenient location
The hotel looks very nice and the pool is also very nice. The room looked clean and spacious. We got a 1br suite: 2 beds in one room, a sofabed, an armchair, and table with 3 chairs in the other room. There is a sink area with microwave and fridge and coffeemaker. This sink was unusually high. The bathroom looked nice but the shower is not designed well. It's not fully enclosed so my kids got the bathroom floor so wet. And there's no soap holder. Not a big deal but bar soap is provided but there's no where to put it. The hotel is in a very convenient location so that's a big plus. But there were a few things I was not crazy about. 1. Housekeeping. I had to keep asking for an extra bath towel every day. And on the final evening we returned to the hotel to discover that they hadn't even cleaned our room. And the morning of our check out, housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:08 AM. 2. Tip jars are very visible. All staff would like a tip and they are nice and I don't mind but I also pay a daily resort fee. So the complimentary evening reception is not really free bc there's a tip jar right next to the servers. And the complimentary breakfast has 2 jars - one for bussers and one for the chef. I know it's optional but I feel like a jerk when my family of 5 gets 5 drinks and I don't have cash to tip. Overall, I liked the hotel even when there was no water one day bc of a busted pipe.

Do not recommend
The location is good -less than 10 minutes from the airport and a 2-block walk to the beach. There are beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas at a very well-marked area on the beach, which is beautiful. We couldn’t get an omelette at breakfast without waiting in a super long line. The scrambled eggs on the buffet were never hot, But a terrible breakfast was the least of our worries. Our daughter had new bug bites every morning! She slept on the sleeper sofa. It was awful. We had chosen a room on the app then were given a completely different room upon check-in. Maybe the original room would not have had bugs in the bed? I would look for a different choice for the money (expensive!) next time.

A Good Hotel in Isla Verde
The hotel is very close to the airport. It needs some upgrading as it's a bit worn, but doable and clean. The staff were very helpful. The pool was nice and it has a nice pool bar. The bar drinks are affordable ($7-$10). They offer free breakfast and afternoon snacks/drinks. It is not in the heart of San Juan (about a 20 minute cab ride away), but is within a 5 minute walk of many restaurants on the main street in the Isla Verde neighborhood. I very much enjoyed my stay there. The customer service was excellent!
