Feb 07, 2026So so time at ESJ Hotel
We had a 3 night getaway to Puerto Rico. Though the list is long, I'd say that the biggest issues that I had with the hotel was noise pollution (60% airport landings and take off; 40% construction or some work being performed nearby. We were on the 15th for, but the noise was disturbing. We never saw housekeeping. While checking out, I was told that housekeeping comes at request (we did request) and fees may come with service.???? The check in guy was very nice, as was the bartender. Very close proximity to a casino. Ocean view was nice. The Cafe's coffee was good, and the pizza.

There is a years’ long dispute going on between management and apartment owners, and the hotel has suffered greatly. Pool has been closed for years. Six elevators, maximum of four operating at any one time; takes forever for one to arrive. Rooms need work. Only good thing is the place is on the beach.

Won’t be returning
Buyer beware, no pools, the pics on this site are not accurate. This hotel is in repairs, most floors are full of debris, you cannot get any ice at all. The front desk staff is not interested in helping because they cater to the time share owners…. This was a gross room( with other peoples things left behind and not cleaned out) which was switched out immediately to another floor. The beds were comfortable and the beach was right out the door. The staff tried to be helpful, but it was dingy and lacking.

This hotel was terrible the pics fooled me real bad.The pool was out of order no water was in there and they didn’t try to give me no money back or nothing.Room looked old fashion as heck.NEVER AGAIN IM SO UPSET.Then they emailed me the day before saying that the pool was out of order like that’s so unprofessional. But yes them photos was def photoshop and on the site I booked on they said it was a 4 star hotel. Smh

Don't Waste Your Money
Stayed at ESJ Towers in Isla Verde, and it was a major letdown. The property is incredibly run-down—pool closed, bar closed, and the building is literally crumbling. There are water leaks everywhere, and the facilities are outdated. The photos on the website are very misleading and do not reflect the current condition of the property. The only positive was the location, but even that couldn’t make up for how poorly maintained this place is. Would not recommend.
