Lovely stay at The Suites!
We really enjoyed the suite layout and space vs. a standard hotel room. In general, the various restaurants’ services were average at best, but Anthony Moreti was an EXCELLENT waiter at the Sal Steakhouse. I wish he could have taken care of us during our entire stay. Thank you Anthony!

We had a mixed experience at this resort. Unfortunately, our room had several issues: the TV did not work, and there was a leak from the roof that caused water to pool on the floor. My husband actually slipped and fell because of it, which was very concerning. That said, Pamela was kind, professional, and accommodating, and she truly helped make a frustrating situation more manageable. We appreciated her efforts and understanding. On the other hand, we had a disappointing interaction at the pool bar. One of the workers, Ali, looked at our tip with visible disgust and chose to pass it to another employee, as if it was beneath him. That interaction left a very bad impression. I won’t go into detail about the new room’s living tv was also broke, breaking money down is basically impossible. We were informed that staff preferred to be tipped in “American dollars” when he had already converted money to Dominican pesos, the list goes on. Overall, considering the amount of money spent, the experience was mid at best. While there were a few bright spots thanks to staff like Pamela, George, Susana, Wanderly and Antony(at the Sal restaurant we loved him he’s the best). the room issues and unprofessional behavior from other staff made it hard to fully enjoy our stay and as a result we most likely will not be staying at another Melia resort in favor of a better experience

Pretty rooms and great pool and water park. Staff never smiles, takes forever, doesn’t answer any questions or give clear answers. No reservations available at restaurants and food terrible. No activities for kids - kids club does one short 10 minute activity and then kids watch tv.

Great for families
We had a great time at Paradisus Grand Cana! The Restaurants and bars are the best part - they all provide really great service and work hard to have variety in the offering. A few shout outs: Anthony and Alexander at the Nube bar are 10/10 awesome! Ivan at the Family Concierge beach is also amazing and really cares. Finally our concierge Jenfry was super nice and took care of us really well and Carolina P. from Family concierge is a superstar. It’s the people that make a resort special and Paradisus Grand Cana has some really great people! Thank you
