Jan 13, 2025What a perfect trip!
We came for my 40th birthday and the entire experience was so perfect. The resort is gorgeous and so very clean. We got a junior swim up suite and it was so beautiful! Emanuel was our server at the pool and his service was what made our trip so memorable. He was so attentive, fun, friendly and caring. He went out of his way to make my day special and we just absolutely adored him! Spice was our favorite restaurant. We loved our trio and definitely want to return!

Excellence Playa Mujeres - 10/10 recommend
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at the EPM resort. All staff that we encountered were super pleasant/helpful! A special shoutout to Vilma with customer relations for making our “baby moon” so memorable. She was extremely personable and went above and beyond, to ensure we enjoyed our stay! If you plan on staying at EPM, and like Indian cuisine, please check out Basmati! Overall, our stay was excellent, would absolutely return!

It's heaven
This resort is magical. My wife and I just returned form our honeymoon and we're already checking dates for our return trip next year. The hospitality is world-class, the food exceptional, and the setting is heavenly. Activities across the resort all day if you want to participate. We stayed in the Excellence Club and opted daily for the club's exclusive beach with a concierge. Our concierge at the beach for the week was Josue, and he made our comfortability priority number one - cold towel (with the resort's scent!) during hot days, helping set up the day bed and beach chairs. We were able to turn our brains off from our demanding day-to-day routine and focus on each other. This is the biggest benefit the Excellence provided us. We had been recommended this resort by six different, unrelated people, and we will be recommending this resort to literally anyone - whether or not they're asking!

This is my wife and I's fourth trip to an Excellent property, and first to EPM. I regret it was the least impressive, and has moved to the bottom of the list in our experience. Just for comparison we have also been to EEC, ERM and EOB. EPM seemed very compacted and small. Way too many people. Never enough beds or loungers by pool or beach. Food quality was typical Excellence quality, but portions were hilariously small. Had to wait in line at every restaurant to be seated. Just felt over crowded! Rooms were in need of renovation. Lots of little problems and issues. Staff was nice, but not exceptional and memorable. Not a single staff member ever attempted to be personable. Just detached friendliness. No one ever went above and beyond, witch is the standard we have come to expect from Excellence. Drinks were supper inconsistent in quality and even recipe. Some in our group were convinced a couple of the bars were watering down the liquor. Nightly shows were also a lillte lower quality than what we have come to expect. Overall a rather disappointing experience at EPM. Doubt we return.

Returning Several More Times
When my husband and I were on our way home from our honeymoon stay at Excellence Playa Mujeres, we said we would definitely be returning in 5 years. That was 2 1/2 years ago! This year we wanted to plan a trip for NYE and couldn't think of a better place to go! Every time we leave we immediately start thinking about going back, so this still won't be our last trip. Some of the best people we've met are the excellent members of the service staff. Cesar is a world-class bartender, he remembers your favorite drink and comes up with the most delicious margarita concoctions. He's the best the Martini Bar and the resort has to offer. Manuela is the best pool-side server and was our favorite from our honeymoon. We walked right up to her to say hello on our first day of this trip and she remembered us from our honeymoon too! She's the sweetest woman and treats her guests like gold. Vincenzo is the best Zumba dancer at the poolside, and is extremely friendly and outgoing. He was so helpful to us while we practiced our Spanish. Andres is the best MC and made our experience at the Mexican Fiesta a night to remember! We also highly recommend a visit to Mille Spa for a 30-minute hydrotherapy session to feel completely refreshed after a long night of drinking tequila. We've made some of the best friends ever at this resort, it attracts some of the finest people from around the world. We can't wait to plan our next visit!
