Feb 14, 2026A Pura Vida Vacation Resort
The Maragaritaville Playa Flamingo was a wonderful resort. Its small size makes it manageable for those not wanting to walk far to enjoy the beach and amenities. The staff is extraordinary. From Scott the manager who greeted us at checkin, Heather at the front desk, Jose the recreation director, Edwin and Jessica at the restaurant, Cindy the omelette maker and all the bartenders and wait staff, all of the staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. There is an elevator for those needing assistance that accessed everything except the 5 O'clock Somewhere Bar and Grill. The food was delicious at the Banana Wind Cafe and Capriccios where the sunset view is spectacular. The beach is across a small street and security will carry over a lounge chair and set you up on the beach. The pool is large and clean and the swim up bar offers both water and poolside seats. Jose hosted a wide range of activities that one could participate in without any pressure. We played bingo, did some crafts, and watched the entertaining Make Your Own Margarita class. He also had water aerobics, bicycle rides, volleyball, beach walks, beer pong, and corn hole tournaments all at no additional cost. There was sufficient shade with a few palaces and afternoon shade provided by the 3 story resort buildings. For families with smaller children there is a covered kids pool with fountains and toys. The sunsets were the truly amazing. The beach waves are large and great for boogie boarding. Our poolside room was large with a balcony overlooking the pool with a partial ocean view through the trees. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. The room had plenty of closet and drawer space and a refrigerator. We enjoyed a relaxing vacation at the resort and met many nice fellow guests. We definitely plan on returning next year. It truly is Pura Vida.

Sunshine in Paradise
Beautiful place with swim up bar right on the beach. The people were so nice, food was great & the drinks were delicious! Thank you Randall for making my birthday special & Belen for taking great care of us!

Beautiful boating, snorkeling and sunset
The two tour guides were excellent. Made it about us. Accommodated whatever we needed, helped their friends too - good souls. Lots of snorkeling and chill time, made some nice rum drinks with a beautiful sunset. We highly recommend.

Beautiful
Amazing! Beautiful weather and experience! David did a phenomenal job! The water was clear and they took us to the most beautiful beach!
