A cozy location in the oldtown out of street sounds but sorrounded by an old colonial atmosphere. Large rooms and bathrooms equipped wit all basic guest requirements! Good breakfast and satisfactory level of cleanliness in old the structure included common area.

Peaceful respite from the noisy streets
I stayed here one night and really enjoyed it. Other reviewers have commented on the noise, we didn't experience anything but peace and quiet here. I guess it depends on the temperament of the other guests. I didn't try the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The hotel is in a nice location in the old city, it's possible to walk to most of the attractions. I liked the room, the bathroom was especially attractive with very interesting mosaics set into the wall. The front desk was very friendly and helpful as well. My only complaint which prevented a five-star rating was that the water outlet in the bathroom sink was only a few inches long and just a couple of inches above the sink surface, making it impossible to put your hands under the water outlet to wash your hands. A really crazy installation!

Aug 07, 2019Bad experience (cockroach in the room)
We had a bad experience in this hostel. First we had a cockroach under the bed in the room. Second, the room was smelling insect repellent, giving us headaches. Third, when we wanted to cancel the following nights because of the dirtiness of the room, we got the refund only in cash because the management did not want to transfer the money on the card. In addition, breakfast was disappointing: industrial food and drinks, no fruits.

We only stayed there for one night, but it was lovely. The rooms were spacious and cool, the place itself is very comfortable, with a small pool and a terrace, where the smoking area is located. The location was perfect, close enough to Getsemaní plaza to be near everything, far enough to be quiet and calm. There is no hot water, but with warm weather it really is not a problem. Plus the staff was lovely.

May 27, 2019Nice place, minus the termites
The place is very cool with a nice vibe and design. However the room we had was infested with termites which fell from the ceiling once the lights were turned off. This was a pretty traumatic experience and we quickly changed rooms...However it seems the staff were aware that our original room had this issue and still gave us the room. This was clear to us once we noticed the patches along the wooden support beams in the ceiling where the termites were. Their solution to this was to spray some heavy duty bug spray on the ceiling...ineffective to say the least. Better to look elsewhere.
