10 night stay
We just returned from a 10 night vacation at the resort. We are from Canada and don't expect that all Carribean resorts will provide luxury services unless you are paying for one of these resorts. This resort is not one of those luxury 5 stars resorts. So be aware prior to your vacation starting. We did pay the extra for the premium experience. We also are Royal Holiday members so we did have a different experience as some as we had a personal butler, Javier, the Royal Holiday Butler, that was amazing to assist with all bookings and personal daily contact to deal with anybody our needs. Positives: Large updated rooms, large bathroom with plentiful products that are replenished, mini bar replenished daily, unlimited bottled water in room and at all restaurants and bars. Concierge service to assist with ala carte bookings and excursions. Most staff are friendly and happy to assist. Many do not speak English so be patient as they may not understand your needs, attentive housekeeping staff, pool and beach chairs pressure washed every evening. Beautiful grounds, attentive grounds workers. Beautiful beach, drink services at the premium pool and beach area with premium brands. Lots of dining options (2 extra for premium). Negatives: Tram service is unpredictable, they are full quite often and you are required to wait for a few to go by, they need to have more of them especially during high peak times. Keep in mind when going for your dinner reservations. Also people just hop on and don't respect any that may have been waiting. Food can be hit or miss, sometime cold and unflavorful, buffets are as expected, food trucks are precooked and taste old unless you get there to have fresh. Enjoyed Mexican and both Italian the best. Fish and steak House were okay. For premium the PBG and SOHO are good and the Chopin buffet for breakfast was good. We did not get sick during our visit as many other reviews refer to this happening. Premium pool should be bigger and adult only would be nice but we were not inconvenienced that badly with some kids. The main pool was dirty, lots of sand and just not the vibe we like. Rooms are very humid and everything feels damp, upgraded dehumidifier system is needed. We don't expect everything to be perfect and we did enjoy the vacation as we make the best of things. You have to realize you are in another country so things will be different. Will we return- Possibly.

Beautiful property ruined by relentless sales harassment—even after reporting it.
Our stay at the Grand Bávaro Princess was a mix of highs and lows. On the positive side, the resort grounds are stunning, the ecological reserve is a unique touch, and the wildlife (peacocks everywhere!) was a joy. The food was a bit of a mixed bag: the Italian restaurant was just okay, but we really enjoyed the Hibachi at Tanuki, which was both high-quality and entertaining. However, we will not be returning to this resort for one major reason: the non-stop harassment from the Royal Holiday Vacation Club. We were targeted constantly for sales pitches, which made it impossible to truly relax. What made this unacceptable was the failure of management. We spoke directly to both property management and Royal Holiday management during our stay to request that they stop the solicitations. It was completely ignored. Even on our very last day, we were stopped several times by sales staff on carts. It is deeply disappointing that a resort of this caliber treats guests as sales leads rather than valued visitors. If you want a peaceful vacation without being badgered until the moment you leave, I suggest looking elsewhere.

❤️❤️❤️❤️
We went to the “special dinner” located in the Chopin restaurant instead of on the beach due to inclement weather. We enjoyed the feast prepared for us that included many types of meat and seafood options that were delicious. We met Juan from animation and he was a delight. The evening was a lovely experience.

Great beach, Room.....but the food
We stayed for a week, the usual shuttle to the resort, 7 people came to this resort including ourselves. Check in went well, room was nice, good size, had a deck outside, as these are 6 unit buildings, and lots of them. The beach was great, drinks so-so, as they don't serve select international brands ( my bad for not checking that) Now comes the bad part, Food.... there is lots of it, buffet, food trucks and the usaul international resturants that you book. The trouble that i believe is the food prep, handling, refrigeration and a unknown on how long they keep bringing it out if it was not eaten. I got sick three days in, but having been through this before i had brought the drugs to combat it. My wife got sick 4 days in, and she really got sick, the drugs held it off to some extent, but had to go to the doctor when we got got home. I changed my eating tactis to eggs and toastin the morning and deep fried after that, thinking nothiong can survive that.Looking at the buffet was like playing a roulette wheel to me. So on the return shuttle to the airport, of the seven at the resort, four had been sick, one had a touch of it....what i would call food poisoning. I don't usually write reviews, but i saw lots of kids here, and i certainly would not want them to have this. So its just a warning, be prepared and really check out the food options, reviews.
