Beautiful location. The pool is a perfect temperature to lounge in with a great view. The cold plunges and saunas are a nice new addition from last summer. They also added an arcade room that has a lot to offer.

Aug 17, 2026Enjoyable, but falls a little short of Grand Hyatt expectations.
Firstly, we enjoyed our stay here and felt we got good value. We booked early and got a good rate, and as Hyatt Globalists, we used an upgrade certificate for the King Suite. Upon arrival, the man checking us in seemed keen to get rid of us as quickly as possible. No recognition of globalist status - no explanation of the property and its facilities - no explanation of globalist benefits. When I asked about breakfast it was like I was inconveniencing him. Not a good start. I get better welcomes at Hyatt Place properties. Disappointingly, but somewhat expected, we were allocated the Suite above the main entrance with a view of the parking lot and the noise of voices and car doors closing until late at night. We use earbuds so it wasn't a huge problem for us sleeping. Overall, we were happy with the room although Hyatt should be embarrassed that a 'Grand' Hyatt has furniture as worn as some of the pieces in this room (and I mean damaged worn, not classic aged worn). The room seemed mostly clean although there was a piece of candy in a wrapper at the side of one of the chairs. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good, but the toilet would malfunction every 3rd flush or so, but just had to reset the handle to get it to fill the cistern. Gessner for breakfast was good at the weekends when they have the buffet, and ok when ordering off the menu. Avoid the supposed steel cut oats - they were terrible and tasted more like instant slop. Aside from the guy checking us in, all our other interactions with hotel staff were pleasant and friendly. We found the service in the restaurant to be good, and the shuttle drivers were all excellent. Speaking of - the continuous shuttle to Lionshead and Vail Villages is a great service. I think it runs every 20 minutes or so between 8am and 10pm. The pool we didn't use. It was usually full of kids, but we did utilize one of the hot tubs. A nice way to relax after a strenuous hike. The gym was reasonable, maybe a little small for a hotel of this size, but that being said, I never saw more than 5 people in there. The free guest laundry is a nice touch. Four machines/dryers and soap pods provided. Very useful on a 10 day trip. One oddity - the hotel has a movie theatre in an area that is reminiscent of a run down 80's mall. Just feels kind of deserted and eerie. Overall, nice hotel but not comparable to other Grand Hyatts I have stayed at. This one would not feel out of place with a Hyatt Regency branding. With that in mind though, at the right price, I would happily stay here again.

Aug 13, 2026Worst Customer Serviceever in nearly 2,000 Hyatt Nights
I have stayed nearly 2,000 nights in a Hyatt Hotel (Lifetime Globalist) worldwide and have never had a worse experience in any Hyatt property. When I asked for a front desk manager's assistance the manager, Victoria, said she "was in-charge and no one else could help me." Of all of the employees I dealt with only the Valets were courteous and respectful. Even the General Manager, Fernando, was dismissive and disrespetful. Based upon the level of service alone, I recommend staying ANYWHERE else rather than this property!

Perfect additon to our roadtrip through CO
This resort was perfect from check in to check out. It was so simple to get to Vail Village with their complimentary shuttle. Their pool deck was picture perfect with a back drop of a mountain scene

Aug 12, 2026Unfortunate stay!
Super unfortunate experience at this hotel. Before even getting to our room, we'd incurred $130 of fees on top of what we already paid for the booking. We paid for an upgraded room with a mountain view, which we did not receive, all of the towels in our room were stained, and we couldn't turn the AC down so it was quite hot in the day. We ate at the grill in the hotel and the food was not good, the wine was warm, and despite there only being three other tables in the restaurant, we had to continuously get up from our table to go get the waiter if we needed anything as they would not come back. The restaurant was also so hot that we had to move our food outside as we were both sweating. The food was not great either and we had to send back the steak because it was so overcooked. There was a wedding at the hotel during our stay which made the line in the lobby quite long at all times. Given that we were only there for 24 hours, we decided not to wait in the long line and call the hotel after to see if there was anything they could do to remedy our issues, they said no that we should have waited in the line and there was nothing they could do to help us.
