  Great experience!!!

  We went to the Mexican restaurant which is called La Adelita and we ordered ribeye tacos and churros and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was super nice. The lights were dimmed and service was great. Our recommendation.

  Very Unorganized Operation

  Unfriendly staff, dirty rooms, horrible dinner reservation system. Breakfast staff would not get us water or coffee.

  We went on a family vacation with kids and in-laws and which the hospitality was horrible we were treated as if we were peasants there honestly we come to Cancun every year but have never experienced such discrimination I will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone

  Bring your walking shoes!

  We stayed at this resort near the end of August. I am comparing this resort to other resorts we have stayed at in the area for comparable prices. We did get this for a pretty good deal however most of the year this resort is on par with other resorts so I will review it based on it being regular price. The resort is big and beautiful. Almost all of the staff was friendly minus the lady that worked at the ice cream shop. She had attitude unfortunately. Let’s start with the positives: Room set up was very functional. Lovely big room but there were some negatives I will touch on after. Water pressure was the best I have had in Mexico. Very happy with the shower for once. Coffee shop was great. No huge lineups and coffee was delicious. The gardens were beautiful. The beach was lovely. Very easy to get a chair. Towels were plentiful. Water refill stations on each floor of our building. Bracelet opens room door. They let you remove food from the buffet with paper plates. Food was decent, drinks were decent. Nothing to write home about though. Negatives: Very loud hallway. Sleep quality zero Breakfast is mid. I wasn’t excited to go to breakfast in the morning at all. No bacon, no hashbrowns unless you request them and you still have to wait for them. Hashbrowns were cold, soggy and tasteless. No waffles. No good breakfast sausage Juice was not replenished quickly enough. I asked about the green juice and had to wait over 45 minutes for someone to refill the juice. This was not acceptable. Too much walking in unshaded areas and you had golf carts sharing the pathway that nearly hit us multiple times. Most times the golf carts were full too. No good chicken breast. No bathrooms on beach. Had to use the restrooms in the restaurant Coffee shop opened at 8am. It should open at 6am. The pillows in the room smelled. First time ever I’ve stayed anywhere with smelly pillows. Not enough shade around resort in summer heat Donuts were stale Manatee poop floating in ocean In closing. I enjoyed my week there but with the constant sleep deprivation from slamming doors and maids being very loud in hallway I do not think I will return. The property was beautiful but the pathways were not well placed. There should be a separate pedestrian walkway/bridge to get places easier. The river system makes sure you walk all the way around to get anywhere. If they had more bridges and walkways it would take half the time to navigate the campus. Other resorts have a more functional layout, more shade and replenish the buffet more frequently. There was no sense of urgency to replenish food/juice at the buffet and this took away from the overall enjoyment of the resort. Also, there was a lot of fish at the buffets but not much in terms of chicken breast or roast etc. So if you love fish you will be happy but if you want good meat forget about it.

  Amazing service, walk to the beach, delicious food. Very guest service. Amazing chief at Portofino and El Dorado.
