Great Stay, Will Return!!
The resort is one of the few in the area open since hurricane Melissa. The staff have worked hard to clean the resort up and fix things that were damaged. The resort is large but all the restaurants and pool area are in the same area which makes it easier to navigate. I’ll start with the food, the food was great everywhere we ate (buffets, sports bar, Asian, steakhouse, Italian and seafood). There was always something for everyone at every restaurant. The A la carte restaurants booked fast so I recommend making reservations or going at opening time which is 5:30. The rooms were clean and spacious. However, there is no elevators in any of the buildings with rooms. They were cleaned everyday and the drinks in the mini fridge were restocked every evening. We did have a leak in 2 of the rooms we were staying in and the resort was quick to send someone to assess and fix. The pool area is massive which is great because there were a lot of lounge chairs for everyone. The swim up bar was fantastic. Omar was our guy (bartender) and he hooked us up with the best drinks all week. The beach is small and is often wavy. We were able to snorkel a few times and saw puffer fish and lion fish. Overall, a great week and I would return to this resort!

Winter vacation
Generally satisfied with the resort but things may have been different if the resort was busy. A welcome pack would have been a great asset in the suites/rooms as would have sample menus for the specially restaurants. No control over the sun loungers around the pool of beach areas and the usual towels out before the sun was up was in evidence.

10/10 would stay again
The staff is always very accommodating, if you have a question just ask it. If you want special dinners, reserve them ASAP but guest services can help you get in. In room dining was excellent to try out but lagoon is fantastic for breakfast.

Just wish it was closer to the airport
Just returned from a 7-day trip to the Palladium and wanted to share some thoughts while fresh in my mind. (Note: Making an exception to my social media Lenten fast to post this. Will not be able to clarify or answer questions until Easter.) POV: We stayed in room 1618 which is on the Jamaica side. Did not upgrade to signature. This was our 7th time staying in a resort on the island. Most recent was last March to Grand Decameron Montego Bay. We were originally booked there for this trip, but they have not yet reopened after the hurricane. Food: Very typical of what we’ve experienced in prior visits- perhaps a bit better. This resort has MANY options. While the buffet tends to offer the same things on repeat, that is typical, and monotony can be avoided if you simply try something different every day instead of a bit of everything every day. We were able to successfully book reservations for the Italian, Mexican, and Steak House restaurants. All were very good. (We did this on the app 3 days out.) The Miss Lou’s coffee shop is phenomenal!! Staff: We found most to be very friendly and accommodating. Our housekeeper did a nice job. Unfortunately, we always seemed to arrive back at the room when she was there (3:45-4:30), but we had no cleaning complaints. She restocked the towels and washcloths as long as you had them on the floor. (We took disposable washcloths and ended up using them quite a bit since one per day isn’t enough when makeup is reapplied before dinner.) The only issue we ended up having room-wise was not getting our water restocked the last two days. (Separate staff than housekeeping.) We called the front desk twice and even had a staff member come to the room, but no water. The only negative we had with staff was the incessant asking if we wanted spa services every time we passed their desk. And, they also came out into the pool area to ask. No doubt they get commission. We did not experience the issues of being hassled to check out the time share. Had one guy ask who our concierge was, to which my husband made up, “I can’t remember his name.” I’m sure the guy knew we didn’t have one based on our arm bands. (And having digital armbands to open your door was great. No worries about losing a key. Tip: after you hear the click give a double pump on the handle.) Room: Our room was a junior suite garden view, but because it was on the end of the building, one of our two balconies still allowed you to see the ocean. No elevator in the building which was only an issue on travel days with luggage. It’s a pretty good trek to get to the main building, but they do have regular shuttles, and we considered it a plus to get some steps in. Our room was freezing despite turning up the temp. (Hubby thought it was perfect. Disagree) Facilities: The resort is immense! We never had issues finding lounge chairs by the pool, but we did secure them by 7:45 am. Many were taken by then. We didn’t do much in stores except for buying a few Tshirts ($20 at resort; saw same at airport for $12). My husband bought some Pepto-Bismal and it was outrageous. $5 for 2 tablets. Once you purchase something you cannot return it, but you can exchange it (You may have to press the issue), so after learning he’d been charged $50 for 20 tablets, he returned several unopened packets for a Tshirt. There are lots of restrooms around which is key if you make a lot of trips to the bar. Bar staff was very attentive. We tipped a buck or two each time. Beach: Snorkeling was not great. (We did not try to go down to the Sunset Cove.) Wind was a huge factor every day but one. Still…a nice little beach area. All in all, we never felt we had a “less than” vacation without having upgraded. We did utilize Dean at the Juta taxi hut outside the main entrance for a private ride back to the Sangster airport. ($70 CASH for 1-4 people. $20 for each person past that.) Will most likely stay with the Decameron once they reopen due to proximity to the airport, but if the Palladium was closer we’d have no issues returning.
