  Unsafe, hostile, and a management team that looked the other way

  The most serious issue: my partner was attacked by another guest and left with a long-term injury. The resort did nothing to protect us or support us afterward. The people involved were allowed to stay on the property, and for the rest of our trip I pushed my partner around in a wheelchair while they walked freely around the grounds. Management offered no help. General Manager Alfonso spoke to me once and ignored me every time after that, while greeting my partner whenever I wasn't with him. Security Manager Henrick did the same: one conversation, then silence, and he showed clear favouritism toward his own staff over guest safety. Orlando at the front desk gave the worst service of our entire stay. In fairness to the few who did their jobs well: Donique, Eric, Jason, Monique and the night restaurant manager were kind and professional. They were the only reason parts of this trip were bearable, and they deserve better leadership. If you value your safety and want to be treated with respect, book somewhere else.

  Solo Birthday Trip

  Commendations to Nickeisha (Check in), Akeile (bell hop) and Adrian (Mexican restaurant, great smile and rapport!), they were relatable, helpful, pleasant and informative. My room was spacious and clean, love the pillows so comfy. Just one thing, the latch bolt for my door didn't go all the way to the slot, so the door was shaky :/ Housekeeping was noisy in the hall way, the door is not sound proof so this may pose a problem for late sleepers. I wanted to relax in my room after breakfast but they were there, fine, but I came back in the afternoon and they were just finishing up. Main buffet (Mo'bay) was clean and organized, good amount of variety of dishes, including a few vegetarian and gluten free options, the service staff were very kind and attentive. Booked reservation for Mexican restaurant, warm atmosphere and the menu had a number of good options. To note, I was asked at check in if I was celebrating anything, I said yes (birthday) and was advised that I would be added to the 'amenities' list (?) .. not sure what or if something was to happen, nothing did. Overall , laid back atmosphere, it's the off season, so property was not too crowded. Had a relaxing time, and there are fun spots if you want, there's something for everyone. I'm a laid back traveler so all the basic boxes were checked for me. Not my first time at this property and I'm looking fwd to my next trip x

  Amazing Experience

  This was an unexpected vacation. We were planning on going to a wedding and it got canceled but we decided to extend our expected stay and make a vacation out of it. We stayed on the Jamaica side which is a little further from all the activities but made very little difference to the all around experience. Check in was pretty seamless. Karl and Kennesha from the travel club helped with the check-in as it was booked weird and they halped to make things as easy as possible. Orlando was awesome in helping us to get situated when we got there and get our stuff back to the room. The resort was BEAUTIFUL. We were there the whole week so I'm going to try to lay out the pros and cons The Pros It is an all-inclusive resort so you don't have to pay for anything once you get there. The staff onsite are amazing so bring some cash to tip. They won't ask you for it but after the service you receive, you will definitely want to Make sure that you book your reservations for the restaurants early because they fill up. Jahvannie from the guest services was very helpful in this area as we were having some challenges booking them from the app. My favorite of the restaurants on site was the steak house- El Dorado. If I knew that it was that good, i would've have went again They also have a Chinese food, Indian food, Jamaican food and Seafood restaurant, but my favorite was indeed the steak house. They also have the buffet which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as the sports bar which is open from 9pm - 7am for the in between meal times They do have an awesome infinity pool and beach area. Make sure you get to sunset cove which is one the resort but hidden away. They have an activity center where you can pay $20 US for the week and go snorkeling, kayaking, paddling boarding for the week. The water in sunset bay is much calmer and clearer which allows you to really see the tropical fish nicely. The activities hosted by the resort for the week were pretty entertaining. They time it so there is something for the kids as well as something for the adults. During the day time, they also have kids club where you can send the kiddos if you want some alone time with the spouse. During our time there we had some of the most amazing servers, Fraiya K. in the Chinese food restauraunt, Shenile M. in the Jamaican restaurant, Ashanti C. the ice cream specialist, and Robert W. who was cheffing up the omelettes were all amazing. The Cons: There were only two things that were negative about the trip. The first instance was that we had a reservation and the hostess was unable to find the reservation. I ended up having to walk all the way back to the room (like a ten minute ordeal) to get my reservation confirmation, only to find out that it was indeed there and she just didn't know how to find it. Not even an apology Then the day before we left, we had something stole from out room. That was not something that we were expecting especially since we had been there all week and yet still, one fo the staff members had taken something from our room . Other than those things, it was a really nice trip. The resort is beautiful. The food was delicious. The staff was amazing. I would definitely return again.

  The Best Honeymoon Experience :)

  We had the most amazing time celebrating our honeymoon here for a week. Everyone was so welcoming and fun! Onell at the infinity bar is the best mixologist!! My husband loved going to the coffee bar each day to try something new. It was so beautiful and clean wherever we went and the views were phenomenal. The food was fresh and delicious. We loved all the live music and nightly shows! Our room was so beautiful and the weather was perfect! We will be back :)
