  5-Star Staff and Hospitality 3-Star Food and Amenities

  The staff at the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya are amazing. They are what makes the resort special. The room we stayed in was dated, the food was good but not great. With some extra attention the the amenities could rise to the level of the courteous and caring staff.

  Unacceptable, Disrespectful, and Disturbing Experience

  We checked out of Grand Palladium Select White Sand Resort & Spa on December 15th, and this was without question one of the worst hospitality experiences I have ever had. During our stay, $200 USD was stolen directly from my wallet inside our room. When this was reported, the situation was handled in a shocking and deeply disrespectful manner — despite the fact that the entire interaction and handling of the situation is on camera. On December 14th, 2025, we dealt with Jose, the on-shift manager, whose attitude was dismissive, rude, and confrontational from the moment the issue was raised. Instead of being treated as guests reporting a theft, we were treated as suspects. Security was brought to our room along with David from concierge, and my personal belongings were searched extensively, as if I were the thief. This entire encounter — including their conduct, statements, and behavior — was captured on video. Jose claimed there would be an “internal investigation,” yet openly stated he would not contact the staff member who had been in our room, saying the employee was “probably home in bed already.” That statement alone demonstrates a complete lack of seriousness, accountability, and concern. Even more alarming, I was asked to fill out and sign a consent form allowing them to search my belongings, which I did. Jose personally took the form. When I asked for a copy approximately 30 minutes later, Jose stated, “What form? You never filled out a form,” and the document had simply disappeared. Again, this interaction is on camera. At no point were we treated with empathy, professionalism, or respect. Instead, we were intimidated, disbelieved, and made to feel as though we were the criminals — all while reporting a theft from within a resort room that is supposed to be secure. This matter will be escalated to Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO) for further review. I strongly caution anyone considering this resort. Theft, dismissive management, and the denial of documented events — even when captured on camera — should never be part of a so-called luxury resort experience.

  Nice place not enough entertainment at White Sands

  White Sands could really benefit from more live music and evening entertainment, such as duets or singers in the lobby. It would be nice to relax and enjoy music on-site instead of having to go to Colonial every night. La Laguna was outstanding—the lunch buffet was excellent and truly a highlight of our stay. The nighttime buffets could learn a lot from their quality and presentation. All of the à la carte restaurants were excellent, and the service throughout the resort was consistently great.

  Great time at the Palladian Resort

  The place is a wonderful environment both in nature and services and amenities. Valeria at the Spa is a very excellent choice for any services you are looking for. She is professional and very caring toward your needs. Have been going here for over 15 years.

  Grab Palladium Stay

  My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay here. All staff were very kind and helpful. We were greeted upon arrival and had an easy check in. All restaurants and À la kart food were good. Our room was also left very clean and had great amenities. House keeping made sure our fridge was constantly filled with beverages and even surprised us with pastries. Our building concierges David and Cielo were extremely helpful. They were always available and helped us with any questions that we had and with and our reservations. The resort was beautiful and very big. There are multiple karts that can take you to where you need to be. There’s great entertainment and activities to watch and do as well. There are also multiple pools and a very nice beach with swim and relax.
