Don't go here
Overall, we were disappointed, and had the beach not been so beautiful this vacation would have been a total waste of time and money. We have traveled all over the world including Asia, Europe, and North/South America and have stayed in many resorts and thought we would give this one a try. Unfortunately, we will never return to this resort, even if it was free. Some of the positive aspects of this resort: the employees are amazing and very friendly. The front counter staff and concierge were very good. The beach is amazing. We really liked the pool, especially the adult pool. The breakfast at the Italian restaurant is outstanding, and if it weren’t for this breakfast option, I would have lost weight on this vacation. Hibachi was fun. The hamburgers at the snack bar were pretty good and I liked the Pepsi machine available to refill my own drink. The Mexican restaurant was very good. The Chinese restaurant was descent. We loved the Roof Top bar. Some negatives: the food was terrible, and the selection was very limited. I have never been to a buffet where the best thing about it was the salad bar. The buffet lacked variety and seemed as if it were strictly tailored for the Hispanic population. The breakfast buffet was pathetic, with no waffles, pancakes, a variety of juices, runny eggs, no bacon, and limited yogurts. You must wait for a waiter to refill your coffee or juice. These are things that should be made available at a drinking/beverage station. The Italian restaurant was less than pathetic. The lasagna was very small and only ½ inch thick. The chicken parmesan was extra thin, not breaded, and simply had cheese and some type of tomato sauce on it. The shrimp was chewy and only came with 3 pieces. The clams were smaller than my pinky finger. If it weren’t for the salad bar, I would have gone hungry that evening. The dinner buffet was terrible, lack of variety, the beef at the station was so tough we couldn’t eat it. Green beans and potatoes were the only two vegetables available, you need more variety. The portions in every restaurant were too small. I would have to order two or three entrees just to fill my plate. When we go to an all-inclusive resort, we expect to have a wide variety of food and drinks available, especially for the cost. The room was adequate. We did like the shower, but not the poorly designed sinks. We could hear everything that was outside our door. It needs more chairs for the beach and more shade options. There were almost always children in the hot tub.

Great trip
Our butler Yajahaira was wonderful! Beautiful beach and our villa was very nice. We stayed in March and it was not too busy. The cabanas on the beach were a lovely perk! Resort size was very walkable. Restaurants were good but slow sometimes.

Ready in a crisis
On the first morning of our stay, I fell, cut my head and broke my nose. It required a trip to the hospital for surgery. The Grand Park Staff jumped into action arranging transport, change of rooms and supplies that I needed when I returned later in the week to recover in the room. We were supplied with all the attention we needed, food brought to us, help with changing arrangements, and smiling faces. Aurora, Isabelle and Eyra and many unnamed staff were superior in my crisis.
