First and last time in this resort!!!
Worst resort I’ve ever stayed in!!! The service was as terrible as it could get both in cleanliness and food taste and quality!! No salt or pepper in their food! Was always served cold food in all the restaurants!! Everything tasted horrible!! I had candida when I got home from their poor cleaning and cooking skills!!! The resort was said to be newly renovated but all their bathrooms were unfinished in all rooms. They had no caddy to put any toiletries in the shower. And the shower stunk of poop once it got wet. The cleaning crew did not clean the room properly and also forgot to leave towels I. The rooms. We had to call twice at the front desk for the issue to be resolved.

A full on construction zone
Unless you want to vacation in an active construction zone (at full cost because they say one side is completed) avoid. Construction noise all day, every pool bar but one closed and then they did work on that pool so there was no filtering for days, the front mirror in the “completed” room fell on my toddler as we were leaving the room (she’s fine thankfully her croc took the brunt of it). All kids features are closed but there is no work being completed on them. The bathtub can be pushed around the room, the safe has stopped working multiple times. I honestly have never had to call for service so many times at an all inclusive. Save yourself a headache and book elsewhere until the Reno is fully completed.

Damp stinking room
The room we had smelt of damp and our clothes were ruined and covered with mold spores. I complained to Tui who did not want to know. We encountered a lot of rain so spent a lot of time our room as there was nothing to do. Don't be fooled by the photos this place is not what its advertised as.

A Truly Grand Experience Thanks to the Amazing Staff
My recent stay at the Grand Princess Riviera Resort was absolutely wonderful, and while the location and amenities are beautiful, it was the exceptional staff that truly elevated this vacation to a five-star experience, even with renovations underway. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we were met with genuine warmth, courtesy, and meticulous attention to detail that is rare to find. The entire team works relentlessly hard and constantly goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcomed and deeply cared for. They possess a warmth that makes you feel less like a guest and more like you are part of a family. This level of stellar service is a testament to the dedication of every single employee at the resort. The Dedicated Transport and Concierge Teams I would especially like to single out Bernie, one of the shuttle drivers, whose awe-inspiring friendliness and genuine warmth were infectious. His sense of humor and car for all passengers was unmatched. Equally appreciated was the other shuttle driver, Martin, whose infectious enthusiasm and deep care for his passengers ensured every trip around the resort was safe and cheerful. The Concierge team was instrumental in making our stay seamless. Amira at the main Concierge Lobby had a remarkable way of making guests feel truly valued, handling any problems quickly, and making the overall experience phenomenal. She was a great person to talk to in the Platinum Libby. Likewise, Miguel and ViriDiana at the concierge desk were superb, providing personalized attention that made all the difference. Unforgettable Bar and Lobby Service The individuals providing bar and lobby service were outstanding. Lupita at the Platinum Lobby was known for her phenomenal work, genuine warmth, masterful drinks, impeccable service, and unwavering care. We also loved seeing Yolanda at the Platinum Beach Bar, Platinum Lobby, and Tequila Bar—her constant radiant smile brightened our day no matter where we found her. Melba, who worked first at the Platinum Riviera Lobby and then at the Sunset Platinum, was a standout with her constant smile, unparalleled work ethic, and gracious courtesy. A special shout-out must go to Paty at the Riviera Platinum Beach Bar—she was simply matchless! And finally, Carlos in the Riviera Platinum Lobby Bar delivered flawless service, mixed perfectly crafted beverages, and is an extraordinary person. Exemplary Restaurant Professionals The dining experience was made exceptional by the attentive restaurant staff. At the Sunset Buffet, Roberto and Absalon met us with warm smiles everyday, provided first-rate service, and always remembered what we ordered—they are remarkable people. Jordan at the Main Sunset Lobby Buffet also provided exemplary service consistently, remaining friendly and attentive. For specialty dining, Pablo at the Brazilian restaurant delivered impeccable service. And at the Teppanaki Restaurant, Alberto ensured we had an unforgettable experience and flawless service, perfectly complementing the dazzling culinary skills of his partner, Herberto.
