    The grand princess definitely deserves 5* the grounds were beautiful with animals walking freely around the resort with no care in the world. 10 mins walk to the white sanded beach and a few minutes walk to the main lobby. Staff are very friendly and welcoming they will go that extra mile to make your stay comfortable. Pools were clean and plenty of them. This resort has something for everyone. We did try one a la carte restaurant the mexicain one, we weren’t impressed waited ages to be seated and served when the food arrived it was nothing special, over cooked food,that evening it was extremely busy and we put it down to that. Buffet restaurant catered for my gluten free diet with plenty of food to choose from. Each evening there was a theme from Caribbean- International cuisine. If you fancy any excursions they have tour operators around the resort reasonably priced. We used ocean tours for a 3 in 1 trip through (Richy?) he approached us on the beach. Great guy and very informative. Excellent service. The hotel offers shuttle service to 4th avenue for $4 each way per person.

    A Memorable Stay with a Few Hiccups at Grand Riviera Princess From the moment we arrived at the Grand Riviera Princess Resort in Cancun, we knew we were in for a treat. The resort is vast and well-maintained, with staff constantly ensuring everything is pristine. It was our first experience at an all-inclusive resort, and it didn't disappoint! **Dining Delights and Disappointments:** We started our culinary journey at Las Olas. While the flavors were good, the ambiance was lacking, and unfortunately, I fell ill later that night. In contrast, La Hacienda provided a truly wonderful dining experience. The Mexican cuisine was delicious, and our server, Hugo, went above and beyond to make us feel special, attentive and personable throughout our meal. **Exceptional Service Across the Board:** The roaming bartender, Christopher, was a highlight of our evenings. He remembered our favorite drinks throughout our stay and added his special touch to each cocktail. At the hotel lobby bar, Platinum Stop #3, Julio was exceptionally welcoming, making us feel like we had a friend in Mexico. **Spa Serenity:** The hydrotherapy session at the Princess Spa was both intriguing and relaxing, featuring a mix of hot and cold experiences. The couples' relaxation massage was the pinnacle, with my therapist Rosaria providing an outstanding massage, complete with thoughtful touches like aroma therapy. They even surprised us with sparkling wine after our session to celebrate my wife's birthday! **Unmatched Hospitality:** Stephany, one of the concierges, stood out with her empathy and dedication. She ensured a memorable birthday celebration for my wife, including a special cake and stable internet for an important Zoom call—going above and beyond when others simply excused the poor connectivity. **Facilities and Amenities:** The resort offers an impressive array of pools, each with its own vibe, from tranquil to lively. We particularly enjoyed our room, despite a slight moldy smell which the staff tried their best to ameliorate. The dual hot tubs—one on the balcony and one in the bathroom—were a lavish treat. The private beach was also a highlight, providing everything we needed without ever having to leave the resort grounds. **Tips for Future Guests:** Make sure to ask the concierge for a list of restaurant reservations ahead of time as the app was a bit tricky to use for this purpose. Also, don't miss the plaza events—Thursday night was a blast! **Overall Impression:** Despite a few minor issues, our stay at the Grand Riviera Princess was filled with luxury, relaxation, and some of the friendliest staff we've ever encountered.     Fantastic 10 night holiday!

    We’ve arrived home (sadly) after an amazing 10 night stay. 4 adults and two 9 year olds. We arrived late on the first night, so it was quiet at check in, which was efficient. Rooms were clean and spacious, a little dated but who really spends much time in a room while on holiday anyway. Please bear in mind with my review that the resort was never at full occupancy during our stay. Pool and sun beds. Plenty of pools on offer, we prefer the pool near to the beach as there were daily activities and music, but plenty of quieter pools if that’s your preference. We didn’t have any issue with sun beds, shaded areas always reserved early if you prefer to be out of the sun. We spent most of the holiday by the pool and the entertainment team were great, my son loved them and spent a lot of time with them joining in and even trying to encourage people to get involved (especially water polo). Beach We didn’t spend much time at the beach, but it is lovely there and again plenty of sun beds. The team work hard to clear the seaweed when it washes ashore (please remember that seaweed is a natural occurrence and can’t be avoided in the sea). Food/restaurants/bars and drinks I read so many negative reviews about the food before our trip. Obviously some really fussy and difficult to please guests. We found the food to be varied (always the usual burgers and pizza etc). We always found plenty to choose from for every meal and often found it harder to decide what to have as the choice was good in my opinion. The staff were always polite and attentive and worked so hard. We tried 3 of the al a carte restaurants (Mamma Mia, Miso Thai and La Vaqueria). We didn’t struggle to book any of these restaurants. Plenty of bars and pool bars to use, sometimes busy and a short wait, but nothing we didn’t expect. Plenty of drinks to try for all tastes and the staff work really hard to please everyone. Shows and entertainment We found we missed most shows but we did watch the horror show as my son wanted to see it. Great performances, so worth checking out. The Mexican evening was great, I love a mariachi band! During the day, plenty going on which my children loved and as I mentioned, my son always took part in most activities. Only thing is with it being a family resort, it was funny for us to watch but some of the adult games weren’t really ideal for the younger guests. Rooms A little dated but more than adequate and kept clean. House keeping was good and came every day. Thank you Adela May! Wildlife So many animals to see (watch the coati, they will go into open bags). Deer, monkeys, iguanas and cats. One downside was the constant selling services and extras. The guys selling trips, water sports etc are great. (Plenty of banter) We did jet skis which was fun. We met lots of people from the UK, US and Canada and had some great conversations and the children made lots of friends. As you always find, some guests were rude, jumping in at the bar etc, but you find that anywhere and is by no means a negative on the resorts part. We would return in a heart beat and were sad to leave! Thank you all and I wish I could name all of you that made our holiday memorable.

    FANTASTIC stay

    Wow ignore the negative comments this is a fantastic resort . Like many people we read the reviews and were so worried but I also am aware you can’t please everyone and everyone has different tastes . ROOM - we stayed in a delux room with the whirlpool bath . Very spacious and great for our needs . The mini fridge was stocked daily . I’m aware that if you put a note in they try and change the selection but we were happy with what was in there . The room is cleaned daily sometimes only late at 4pm but they were always spotless. Yes the rooms are dated a little but what does that matter ! You sleep , wash and go. We did use the whirlpool bath just beaware to fill it above the jet shooters as we spent a long time mopping up the water up after we finished laughing 🙈😂. The room would benefit from having another bin rather than just the one in the bathroom . We tried to keep it tidy !! We were on the second floor make sure you do lock the patio as we regularly had a coyte on our balcony . The view was at the back but it was lovely as we watched all the wildlife just grazing . FOOD we were very lucky apart from the the night we arrived we got in the al carte every night ! The best one for us was le fluer followed by mama Mia but all good . I would say the only downside was we found the Mexican to be very rushed . No sooner had you finished chewing you were on the next course . The buffet restaurant was one of the best ones we’ve had . Plenty of choice . We just had 1 morning were we waited for scrambled eggs but no big deal . The staff sit you down and then you’re offered a drink . Great for me I’m A Chardonnay girl and it was lovely 🥰 . We also ate nachos in the sports bar one afternoon which was lovely and also had room service one evening which was also great . RESORT The resort is just beautiful. The grounds are well kept and everyday the gardens were being seen to , the housekeeping team cleaning areas , litter picking and making sure everywhere was clean. The wildlife is a big plus we were very lucky to see the monkeys twice ! We didn’t really stay around the pools we visited them once as we preferred the beach . The time we did spend there we had plenty of cocktails at the swim up pool . The beach for us was breathtaking. I was well aware of the seaweed and I was surprised on every single day how much effort went into cleaning it . They tried so hard it never completely was clear but better than it was . This doesn’t ruin the beach and certainly won’t ruin your stay . We upgraded to platinum bracelet which gave us access to the private beach . We were so happy we did this as the area wasn’t to busy and it had its own bar and toilets which for a hut was spotless !! A big shout out to the lovely ADO who was there which seemed like the whole day offering us drinks even remembered what I was drinking at different times of day . What an asset to the resort you are thank you for making our stay even more perfect! You did get some people trying to stay on this part of the beach and security did try to move them on if they spotted them . STAFF The staff here are all so friendly , always smiling and always happy to help . The only thing I would say is the dell boys are happy to help with your luggage but maybe instead of guests just arriving and struggling to find their rooms that this can be tagged on as part of their service ? They are going to the room anyway ! After a 10ht flight over 2 hrs through customs and then the transfer last thing you want is getting lost which we did ! A big thank you for the welcome drink while checking in I was desperate for a drink and it was gratefully received. ENTERTAINMENT We didn’t really get involved with all the activities but did see during the day while walking through them taking place and all looked good fun . The evening entertainment wasn’t the best . We enjoyed the silent disco but had this twice in the 10 day stay ( very lazy entertaining really !) I found a couple of staff rude when getting the headsets , seemed more interested in their mobile phones . The live band we saw twice they were really good . It’s just a shame that it finishes at 10.30 when everyone seems to be enjoying themselves . Would we return yes we would but won’t be returning as there are so many more places we want to visit .     This is the first time I write a review from the heart. My husband and I had a multi destination honeymoon. The first week, we stayed at Princess Reviera Resort, and we absolutely love it. Every single person there is working very hard and they are the nicest people we ever met, and we travel quite a lot. We liked the restaurants as well, and I can't say we had a favourite one because every single one has something different and special. Greetings to the chef's. I wanted to give 4* because of the receptionists. I believe they can do better when people check in with the information about the resort. Will help the guests more knowing how to use the app or what it is to know about the resort. We struggled a lot even to find our room. It is not nice to start the first day in the resort, trying to find your way around... another thing is the prices in the resort. I've got mosquito spray, and after paying 20$, it hasn't helped me even a little bit. Every single bite went into a huge bruise. That's not nice. Atlest if you selling something expensive make sure is something good... Anyway, because of the management/owner decisions, it was unfair to give 4* when the people working there deserve 5*. Thats not fair on them. Overall: we loved it ♡ Thanks for your hard work to make us feel good.
