Brilliant holiday to beat the January Blues!
Stayed here for 10 nights in January from the UK. Hotel was brilliant & everything we hoped for. Check in was swift & easy, concierge drive you to your room & stop to point out where everything is en route which was helpful. Room was big & clean, ours had 2 doubles which didn’t bother us. Lovely south facing balcony so sun all day ( maybe lucky!). The resort is big so we averaged 10’000 steps a day so maybe something to consider if you have mobility issues, however lots of golf cart shuttles around & helped walk off all the calories consumed! Nature is everywhere on this resort & helped make it memorable. There are 4 pool options so you can have it as loud or a quiet as you like, plus the beach. All were Impeccable. Food & drink options were excellent & we had restaurants every night ex spy 2 which was our choice. No issues getting booked in. I joined the Facebook group before arriving & got lots of tips from there- definitely take straws! Overall we had the best time & would return in a heartbeat!

Absolutely loved it, warts and all
Negatives first = room was jungle side so smelt of damp when we arrived, however with the air con on it quickly went. Room was 2930 it was a little tired decor wise, but nothing dramatic to be fair. Only get 2 cans of beer a day, between two people I though this was a bit stingy! Lots of kids, (toddlers upto 16) as grown up adults, we felt it had alot of kids, so if kids aren't your bag, book elsewhere! Positives (everything else) cant fault it, friendly staff, amazing setting, cute animals including Spider monkeys, Coatis, Raccoons, capybara, hummingbird, woodpeckers just simply magical to share the same ground! Food was top notch, lots of choice even for vegans or vegetarians. Amazing restaurants to book, Carnal and Tapenyaki our personal favs All in all would I come back, yes! But when the kids are supposed to be in school.

Great but need minor improvements
This was our first time in Mexico and we loved the whole experience. However there were some downsides to the hotel which really should be simply fixed… Positives were that everywhere was really clean, there were loads of staff who were very attentive, on the beach and pool waiters would come around and ask if you want to order a drink. The restaurants that you book were great, Alma was the best IMO. Butchers wasn’t great, nothing special and dessert was not very fresh. Overall, buffet options were amazing. Alcohol options were also good. Manuel from Mixology is so skilled but also makes the effort to speak to you. Salt and Sweet was good for live music, we went almost every day. They had a nice programme of things that you do throughout the day. BUT, half of the time there was no information on where the activities were or if there was a location the activity just didnt go ahead. So that was a real waste of time for us. There are tennis and puddle courts which were good but after the rain they were waterlogged so playing was difficult. Would definitely recommend going on the bike tour, we went around the resort and saw some amazing things. Negatives are that you have to tip to get some sort of amazing experience, which is annoying because I guess the American culture has brought that in. But if you are from the UK or anywhere further away, you probably already spent most of your savings on the trip. So it was a little unfair. There are also a lot of mosquitoes so make sure the bring sprays and whatnot. The rooms were nothing special, need a lot of work on it, every time we showered there was a massive puddle of water by the toilet. Another thing was that the pillows were really hard, which was ok for my partner, but I struggled so have asked the concierge about 3 times for a softer pillow to which they replied that it will come (so it was constant promise for nothing) in the end I had to use one of the sofa cushions because they were a little softer. Overall, I’d say it was a good experienceand I would probably come back if the rooms were renovated a little and the AC fixed, as when we came back home our clothes smelt really badly of wet horrible air. Most staff were so friendly so that made our holiday.

Extraordinary experiences at Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach Resort & Spa:
Just returned from an extraordinary 10 day holiday at the Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach Resort & Spa in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and what an experience it was. From the moment I arrived, check in was quick, friendly, and effortless. The resort itself is impressive, featuring 934 deluxe rooms and suites, more than 10 specialty restaurants offering flavours from around the world (including an outstanding Mexican restaurant), and a variety of pools to enjoy throughout the day. The oceanfront beaches, lined with palms and surrounded by lush, jungle like pathways, created a truly relaxing atmosphere. I even spotted several monkeys along the walking paths a fun surprise for guests of all ages, especially the kids. Evenings were just as enjoyable, with world class all inclusive entertainment that made every night memorable. A heartfelt thank you to the people who made this stay exceptional: Margarita Ibarra, Director of Room Division of the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa, Elizabeth Becerra, Guest Services Administrator, Sergio, Angel, Executive Chef Fernando, Chef Alejandra, Hostess Monica, Hostess Erica, Nury, Yessica Joseph, Octavian, Laura and the entire Grand Sirenis Resort & Spa team for their warm hospitality and outstanding service and farewell goodbye photo of my new family. This resort is highly recommended, and we will definitely be back. A special thank‑you to Sarah, Flight Attendant Supervisor, for organizing my booking with such care.
