Feb 22, 2026Resort buffet food not as good as it used to be
I visited the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya with my family several times in the past and we always enjoyed it. But the last time we visited the resort in December 2025 we were disappointed with the food selection at the buffet. Until 2025, the buffet food was varied every day and night with varieties of food served. In 2025, the buffet food was basically the same every night with limited varieties of pasta and meat available. We also couldn't find free chairs or huts at the beach if we came later in the morning so we had to wake up very early in the morning to reserve the chairs at the beach. The only thing that remained the same at the resort for the last several years are the great service, modern rooms, and clean, well-kept beach and grounds.

First time to Mexico and had the most amazing holiday. Grand Sirenis was outstanding .... and vast. Whilst the layout takes a bit of getting used to because of its size, that is only because there is so much on offer. There is something and somewhere for everyone - white sandy beach with the best snorkelling I've experienced and diving pelicans, quiet 'jungle' pools cut out of the trees, and swim up bar pools with party vibes. Food and drink was excellent, with multiple 'a la carte' restaurants supporting a splendid standard buffet offering. Entertainment everywhere (daily programmes) and every night, from theatre shows to live bands, and friendly staff on hand all the time. The wildlife was great fun too - it's surprising how used you get to monkeys, racoons, coatis, agoutis and iguanas! What a place!

Amazing week celebrating my retirement on a girls trip 2026
Loved the atmosphere of the resort all the trails , beautiful jungle and seeing the animals was a plus especially the monies. The staff was friendly and welcoming Consigliere Mexia & yessica were very helpful with great hospitality and friendly
