  ..a good downtown place..

  The place is not bad, it has excellent location a short way from everything interesting It is so far quite and has good style. However, our room (114) wasn’t that good. Even they called it standart. It was very small and had no window to outside, even worse, nobody told us during booking or checkin. If you plan to stay in the room for one or the other hour to rest before going out, not so good. In the other hand, everything was fine. Good bed linen, thick towels, AC, WIFI, all ok. Personnel is motivated taking care of your requests. Breakfast, we didn’t have, there are plenty of possibilities close by. To make my review absolutely clear, I would have given a star and a half more with an outside window..

  My Spanish home

  My Spanish home away from home! H10 never fails to impress me with their beautiful hotels.The rooms are thoughtfully appointed, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. And of course, cava to welcome me! This is my third day in an H10 and I have to say that while they are all different, the service is always top-notch and my stays have been extremely pleasant. Can’t wait to come back to Spain again!

  If I could give zero stars, I would.

  If I could give zero stars, I would. I was supposed to stay at H10 Villa de la Reina in Madrid in May, but I had accidentally booked the room for August instead. When I arrived at the hotel in May, the receptionist explained that they had no reservation for me for those dates and no room available. I accepted that the booking mistake was mine and found another hotel. Before leaving, however, I explicitly asked the receptionist to cancel my August reservation, as I would not be returning to Madrid. She told me that the reservation had been cancelled. In August, I then received an email from the hotel asking when I would be arriving. When I called, I discovered that the reservation had apparently never been cancelled. I subsequently wrote to the hotel explaining exactly what had happened - that I had personally been at the hotel in May, had asked their receptionist to cancel the reservation, and had been explicitly told that it was cancelled. The hotel completely ignored the substance of this explanation. Their response was simply that I would be charged for one night. The original booking error was mine. What is unacceptable is being told directly by a hotel employee that a reservation has been cancelled, relying on that confirmation, and then months later being charged because apparently it was not cancelled after all - followed by the hotel simply dismissing the explanation. Extremely poor handling of a straightforward customer service issue. Based on this experience, I would not stay at this hotel.

  Very good and would stay here again

  Great location in the Sol area, great bar scene and very well equipped rooms, with comfortable beds, and well furnished bathroom. Staff and service was good, my only whinge is that pleas serve fresh orange juice at breakfast . Else everything was fine

  Great location and friendly staff

  Great location, easy access for all sights in Madrid and walking distance to most of the bars and restaurants. Friendly staff and the hotel smells amazing when you walk in.
