Themed after Jamaica's fabled children's character Anancy the Spider. Borrowing from the witty spider made famous in Jamaican folklore, the new children's play area is modeled after a village concept with buildings ablaze with a mosaic of brightly coloured hues guaranteed to enliven the senses of young visitors. Anancy and his friends form the central theme around which activities and learning programmes planned for children aged three to 12.
Your children will have the time of their lives as they create puppet shows in Tacoomah Hut, enjoy cold refreshments in Patoo's Lookout, get creative in Artsy Kraftsy or listen to captivating stories in Tacoomah hut.
At the Anancy Children's Village, children will have the opportunity to learn more about Jamaica in a safe, fun and captivating environment.
The Anancy Children's Village at Half Moon, A RockResort includes shaded play areas, activity rooms, a wading pool, sand box, expansive outdoor play area with each activity supervised by a well-trained coordinator.
The Anancy Children's Village at Half Moon accepts only children that are fully potty trained aged 3 - 12. Families with children who are not potty trained can take advantage of our Nanny service and have nannies escort children to the Anancy Children's Village.

When the owner offers to give you the tour personally, you know you are in the right place
HALF MOON was the end of a 25 days tour in Jamaica. We spent 8 nights there. The location was perfect, and the property is stunning. There are two distinct areas: Founders Cove and Eclipse, as well as a new area for private villas. We stayed in Founders Cove, the oldest part of the property. Contrary to what we expected, it was in very good state. For beach lovers like us, Founders Cove features the only real white-sand beach; the other areas have rocky beaches. Our evenings were highlighted by visits to Cedar’s Bar, which offers breathtaking sunset views from stools strategically positioned to overlook Half Moon beach. There, Mr. Caswell achieved the nearly impossible by serving us genuinely cold beers in the Caribbean heat. We also fell in love with the Sugar Mill restaurant, one of the most romantic spots we have ever visited, where we dined three times. Mr. Desmond kindly secured the coveted Table 100 for us with a simple hand-written note, while Mr. Stephan’s impeccable service ensured our favorite wines and menu preferences were always remembered. Depending on the current, Half Moon beach might receive a normal amount of seaweed, but thanks to Mr. Lobal, the shore was consistently kept free of trees & coconuts debris and any washed-up seaweed. He started his work very early each day and managed to clean the entire beach thoroughly. During our stay, Mr. Stephan and Gregory were proactive and brought us fresh coconuts while we were relaxing on the beach. One of the most notable figures at Half Moon is Mr. Fitzgerald, who serves as a true PR for the hotel. He kindly volunteered to give us a tour and introduced us to Guy Stuart III, Chairman of the Board of the hotel. Guy ultimately led the tour himself, providing a detailed and insightful look at the new villa developments. We later caught up with him at Cedar's Bar to share our day’s experiences and were struck by his remarkable passion for golf. While my husband and I typically prefer formal dining to informal settings like picnics, we highly recommend signing up for the beach barbecue; it was a wonderful experience, including the dance performance. Although we originally attended just to try something new, we ended up thoroughly enjoying it. Last but not least, we were devastated to hear the news of Hurricane Melissa, which struck the island just a few weeks after our departure.

Unforgettable Corporate Meeting Experience
Our company recently held our annual meetings at Half Moon, Jamaica, and it was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly, attentive, and professional. The food was fresh and delicious, and the grounds were immaculate, offering a beautiful, relaxing setting. Our meeting room was phenomenal, with an amazing view that made our sessions even more enjoyable. The space was comfortable, well-equipped, and perfect for our needs. During downtime, our group loved the pickleball courts, which added a fun, active element to our stay. Overall, our team had an unforgettable experience. We would love to make Half Moon our go-to venue for future meetings—it truly exceeded all expectations and provided the perfect combination of work and relaxation.

Incredible Jamaican Vacation
Half Moon is an incredible place. This would have been our second time to Jamaica and first time to Half Moon. The property is incredible and an amazing mix of the original atmosphere with the newer "Eclipse" location. I wanted to call out our Concierge contacts, Dean and Tramean. They went above and beyond every day with us and I couldn't thank them enough for making us feel so taken care of.

Half Moon
Wonderful property with amazing staff. Room was clean and location was close to beach and very quiet. Lots of amenities and the bikes to move around the property was a nice addition and made for a good workout. Food and drinks are on the pricier side but would definitely return.

Wonderful Stay and Exceptional Service at Half Moon
I had an amazing stay at Half Moon in Montego Bay! A big thank you to Stacy Ann, Brianna, and Taniel at the front desk for their kindness and help with my room reservations, as well as their great suggestions for local dining and activities. Devonish provided excellent bar service, shared his local rum knowledge, and offered wonderful insights about Jamaican culture—thank you, Devonish, and Go Eagles! The food at Half Moon was outstanding, and the live entertainment each night created the perfect local vibe—fun and authentic without ever being overpowering. I also loved visiting the Rose Hall Great House and Cinnamon Hill—the tours and atmosphere were fantastic. And if you’re in Montego Bay, don’t miss the Pork Pit for authentic Jamaican jerk barbecue! Highly recommend Half Moon for its exceptional staff, excellent food, and unforgettable island experience.
