Named to commemorate the wreck of the Sea Venture and the establishment of a colony in Bermuda, our new dramatic harbourside dining experience, 1609 Bar & Restaurant, offers uninterrupted harbour views and open air dining.
The menu features a variety of items from ceviche and pizza to burgers, sandwiches, and salads as well as a variety of seasonally inspired entrées. A carefully crafted cocktail menu offers Bermuda classics such as the Rum Swizzle and Dark & Stormy, as well as island-inspired libations including the Passion Fruit Mojito, 1609 Frozen Rum Punch, and White Peach and Tropical Red pitchers of Sangria.
Reservations are highly recommended.
- Crown & Anchor
Open daily, this restaurant offers casual all-day dining and late-night bar and grill with lively entertainment, and an exceptional rum selection. Crown & Anchor Bar, Restaurant, and Terrace is Bermuda’s newest “must visit venue” offering everything from a reserved afternoon tea to relaxing after work drinks. At the bar a fine selection of cognac, wine, and champagne by the glass await. Give in to the island favorite Bermuda Rum Swizzle, a delicious mix of local Gosling's Black Seal Rum, and tropical juices or our or the signature C&A Cocktail, which can be enjoyed on the new outdoor seating area, set in the beautifully landscaped gardens, overlooking the new Marina. - Marcus’ by Marcus Samuelsson
Like the hotel around it, Marcus’ is a visually striking affair, arrayed with modern art from the hotel’s owners, including original pieces by Andy Warhol, Liu Ye and Nelson Mandela amongst others. The signature restaurant occupies the former Gazebo Room, once a grand ballroom, offering a central bar and views of the ocean. An open kitchen with a wood burning grill located opposite is a show all in its own, with chefs creating Samuelsson’s specialty dishes.
A preview of menu items includes Oysters with Black Rum Mignonette, Salmon on the Grill, Jerk Pork Belly, and a tantalizing Whole Fried Chicken for Two. Additional dishes pay tribute to Bermudian culture, such as Grilled Bermuda Onion and Fish Chowder Bites among others. The restaurant features a full beverage menu with signature and classic cocktails, a well-rounded selection of wine and beer, and a new spin on a local favorite, ginger beer-based Darker and Stormier.

Oct 27, 2026Lloyd Has Single Handedly Raised Our Tax Bracket
I genuinely don’t think there’s a place on earth that offers better hospitality than Intrepid. There’s something about this restaurant that just feels like home. I don’t know if it’s the beautiful windows, the pop art, the incredible smells coming from the kitchen, or simply the atmosphere they’ve created, but there’s a certain magic to this place that keeps us coming back. And so much of that magic comes from Lloyd. I truly cannot say enough about this man. Whether it was the kindness he showed my mother while she was visiting the island, even taking the time to cut her steak, or the way he consistently makes my wife feel welcomed and appreciated, Lloyd has a remarkable gift for making people feel special. I often joke that Lloyd has single-handedly raised our tax bracket, because he’s made us want to work harder just so we can enjoy more elegant evenings at Intrepid. 😂 And there’s some truth to that. It’s become more than somewhere we go for dinner. It’s somewhere we genuinely look forward to being. Ashley, our server, is equally wonderful, and the entire team deserves recognition. There’s a level of warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care here that you simply cannot manufacture. Great food and beautiful surroundings are one thing, but creating an experience that people carry with them long after they’ve left is something entirely different. Lloyd and his team have mastered that. I genuinely couldn’t imagine a better person running the show. Thank you for making Intrepid feel like our little home away from home. You have no idea how much we appreciate you all.

The Service at Inrepid
There are plenty of places to go for dinner, but the way Lloyd and the team at Intrepid look after us is what makes us keep choosing to come back. We’ve visited more than ten times, and what stands out is how consistently personal the service feels. Lloyd remembers our names, the waitstaff remember the drinks we like, and we never feel like we’re just another table. There’s something special about returning to a restaurant and knowing the people welcoming you have actually taken the time to know you. It’s more than being remembered, though. It’s the attention to detail and the care they put into our time there. They make us feel appreciated and treated like royalty, while still making us feel comfortable and at home. That balance is a big part of why we enjoy coming here so much. I especially want to give Lloyd credit for the care he has shown us over the past two years, and recognise the staff who make every visit such a pleasure. That level of service is a real reason to choose one restaurant over another, and for us, it’s why Intrepid continues to be our choice. Thank you, Lloyd and the team—you’ve given us every reason to keep coming back.

A stunning hotel
The hotel is superb. The location in Hamilton is ideal, the amenities within the hotel are perfect and the staff are exceptional. I must make special mention of the team in the Fairmont Gold Lounge who are nothing short of spectacular.

Waitstaff at the Crown & Anchor
Yuri, in the Crown & Anchor, part of the tremendous waitstaff, is engaging, attentive, and as efficient as any server on property. We looked forward to breakfast every morning because of his uplifting spirit. Well Done Yuri. Craig Perks
