Such a lovely overnight stay
Met up with some friends and we had a wonderful time. The reception staff was welcoming and the atmosphere was pleasant, which is always a great way to start off. Not long checking into my room, i received a phone call checking to male sure everything was to my liking. Not sure if that was customary for the hotel or because Im a Hilton Honors member. I'm slowly getting used to the small lifts. This one was actually decent size compared to some. They're still smaller than the ones in the US. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The bed was a little hard for my liking, but after a night of partying, it did its job. Lol! I do appreciate the Thank You card that was placed on the bed when I arrived. It's the little touches that go a long way sometimes. The hotel has a complimentary breakfast for guests. There was a decent selection; however, I'm not much of a breakfast person so I just grabbed a banana and muffin. Everyone around me seemed to enjoy theirs. Overall, it was a nice stay and rather convenient for the location. We walked to the Christmas Market earlier in the day and caught an Uber to the restaurant since we were all dressed up plus going to partake in drinks after. I could see returning if I'm ever back in Birmingham.

Charlotte and the team are Ace 🥰🫶🙌👏
Recently stayed at the Hampton by Hilton, Jewellery Quarter. The Operations Manager Charlotte, and her night team, Edu, Sheena, and Lucy were really accommodating, helpful, and went the 'extra mile' to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We will definitely return in the future. The beds were really comfortable and food delicious. Its also in a great location. 5 ⭐️ performance 👏 🙌 🥰

More Holiday Inn than Hilton
With the Hampton by Hilton hotels you expect the very highest standards available in a 3-Star property, sadly this hotel disappoints in some respects. Firstly, the hotel does not have a car park, but it is right next to a convenient tram station. Parking is not a problem in the area as there are various private car parks including one within 100 yards. Expect to pay about £8 for 24 hours. You can also park on the side streets from 6 pm to 8 am free of charge. Street parking using the Ringo app outside these hours is about £1 per hour after the first hour, which is charged at £1.75. The staff are pleasant, the public areas are fine and the free breakfast is ok. The corridors and elevators are starting to look a little bit tatty; scuffs on the paintwork, skirting boards, et cetera. I would say the hotel is below par for general house maintenance standards. The rooms are to a pretty reasonable standard, but it’s the bathroom that lets everything down. The bathrooms have been carefully designed and of the same type as other Hampton hotels with high-quality fittings, but this hotel lets the side down because the lack of attention to detail in cleanliness. You’ll find black mould around bottom of the shower screens, soap dishes, basin under-hang, behind the taps et cetera. You’ll also find the floor tile grout in the bathroom and entrance area in need of a deep clean. Too deep clean of all the bathrooms and I’d be happy to give this hotel a five star rating

Rough diamond in Gems quarter
This hotel lacks the shine of a top-class business hotel but it is clean, simple and offers terrific value. Set in one of the less attractive areas of the city, it has the advantage of a Metro tram stop immediately behind where you can reach the lively parts of Birmingham, or the Jewellery Quarter, which is one stop away. The rooms are pretty basic but clean and comfortable and in a good state of repair with TV, shower etc (see my pictures). Breakfast is just about OK, with a self service offering of sausages and scrambled eggs etc which was a little crowded at times. Do not try to eat here in the evenings as all I could get was a pizza. But the staff are friendly and helpful and it was a secure and welcoming place to stay.

Overall a good stay.
Breakfast was good. Quite centrally located. Staff was mostly friendly, especially Lucy. Fey was not that welcoming and quite rude. When we asked her whether sofa bed could be folded, she refused to entertain our request and said its not possible. Later, when we asked another colleague, this colleague politely said we could do it ourselves and it should not be a problem. We unfolded and folded the sofa bed ourselves, and it was not a problem. Although, the queen room with sofa bed is advertised for 4 people, it could be a bit small because these 4 people also come with some luggage. The sofa bed could be quite uncomfortable for some people. Room had good amenities, like toiletries, iron, iron board, etc. Overall experience was good.
