Jan 01, 2026Staff with attitude in a very poor Hampton Hotel - stay away.
A very disappointing stay. Of course Hampton is never a real Hilton, you still expect a certain level of service and quality. To start - the staff were very negative to me. They didn't like when I told them that I have been trying to contact the hotel repeatedly before checking in to sort out an issue with the booking - they were offering water to everyone but me (even though I am a Hilton Gold). When I asked for the water, they first told me that they don't have any but then found. They also gave me a room next to some machinery that made loud noises - I overheard conversation in Spanish. The quality of the room is quite poor. The only positive is the bed is comfortable. The first room I had was not clean. I was very disappointed.

Not clean, crappy franchise, no customer service
This is not a real Hilton, just a crappy domestic franchise that licenses the logo, and it shows: It took 50 minutes to check-in. Once they finally found and entered my booking in to the system, they insisted I owed taxes even though taxes are explicitly listed as included in my online booking. There was only one person at the desk, so it was extremely slow and no manager was available to address the issue or speed up check-in. I paid the taxes twice and will complain to the online booking company, or my credit card. Furthermore: - The main door is not monitored at night, and requires a key for entry. However, the hinge is broken and it sticks to the ground, staying open and unlocked. - There is no front desk. You have to go up to the 16th floor to find 1 person imparting check-in, the store, the breakfast area, etc. - Air conditioning is ok, not great. - The room is 'almoat clean'. The couch, tables, and surfaces are clearly not cleaned well. This is just some crappy hotel that Hilton lends their name to. I do not recommend this hotel; had I know it was this bad I would have gone somewhere else for the same price. 👎

Mar 18, 2025Decent but not great hotel
The receptionists were entirely unhelpful regarding the 19% VAT refund procedure and failed to provide an electronic invoice for use at the airport upon departure. The hotel needs to train them about this. Basic and important. Housekeeping was very good one day and sub-par the other (for example, toiletries placed messily on the counter). Room was fine (clean, comfortable, spacious enough, working TV and good AC), although no real place (like drawers) to place clothes (other than things hung in the closet). Pool area is small but decent. Bar service was good. Unfortunately, sunset view mostly obstructed by a new building under construction next door. Breakfast was pretty good, with a good variety of hot and cold items (including lots of fresh fruit). Doorman was very personable and attentive. Good location with easy access to the walled city and to the airport, as well as Laguito. Nearby beaches not so good. Take a boat trip to the nearby islands. All in all, a decent spot. Next time I’ll probably spend a little more and stay at the Hilton in Laguito or the Intercontinental, which has nicer feel and a much nicer and bigger pool area with vastly superior views.

Dec 21, 2024Very hott!!!!
My vacation was from Dec13-21, 3024. From Dec 16-20, 2024, the a/c unit for the entire hotel went out. The staff was extremely nice and respectful during this time. The only drawback is, although the management was very nice, they would not provide with any compensation. I also called corporate but they referred me back to the hotel with no help. Hilton when I paid alot of money to you guys. I don't remember a hott hotel being in the fine print!

Although i saw unpleasant reviews we beg to differ, here is our experience. Reception is at 16th floor, the guards or entrance attendants were nice and accommodating. The pool watch guy on the afternoon is rude and does not have customer service. Breakfast staff were hospitable as well as the reception staff. Rooms for us were clean stayed at rm. 1099, although the towel holder is rusted it is still presentable to look at. Gym and pool were well maintained. It has a starbucks, gift shop and a burger king tenant below Plus is it is near to the party bus stop which parks to pick up customer just at the junction
