Don't be fooled by a positive YouTube
Ugh! What a terrible experience! We knew before even getting to the hotel we were probably going to regret coming here because after several communication attempts both a couple weeks prior and several days before arriving we had no confirmation if the hotel had accepted our request for either private or shared transportation from the airport (which is a big deal in Cabo, taxis are very expensive and not recommended by anyone). We were willing to wait for a shared one or pay 2x for private... we just wanted a confirmation! All we got was hopes and prayers once we landed at the airport that someone from Hard Rock was going to be there. We also tried to arrange for a $500 romantic beach side private dinner, as well as a top tier couples massage package leading up to our trip and no one would communicate effectively with us so we could book those (you have to email their 'vacation planners' a few weeks out and they require 48 hours in-between communications, which wouldn't be a big deal if they actually held themselves to this standard). We got multiple emails back that were just empty, only showing whoever sent the emails signature and our original text. So we'd have to repsond asking what the email was supposed to say and the 48-hour response waiting period reset all over again. We tried to go through multiple vacation planners, too, and they all lack any sort of service oriented mindset. Then we got to the hotel and it just got worse from there. Someone was greeting people at the door and giving us a spiel on the way to the counter, then we got the same spiel at check in, and once you turn around someone else is giving you the same spiel before you even leave the velvet ropes (literally blocking other guests with thier luggage). They should reallocate some of this staff that over communicates once you get here, to the vacation planning side to help those trying to get things done prior to arrival. And then of course our room was dirty. Housekeeping missed the simplest of details (previous guests' razor in the shower, hair in the bathrub, mold on bathroom vents, not resetting the alarm clock that unexpectedly woke us up). Feels like absolutely no attention to detail in the room. We ordered room service and a bucket of ice that never came. Almost an hour into our waiting we called to inquire an ETA and they said another 40 minutes. We requested to cancel the whole order, and we went to bed. 15 minutes later someone showed up with only the bucket of ice and pounded (not kidding, it was not a polite room service knock) on the door 3 separate times by the time one of use could find the light, get some kind of clothing on, and get to the door (and we're young, spry and completely sober!). Felt very rude. And the worst part of all of it was being embarrassed by a manager at dinner. We did a teppanyaki dinner at Zen for our anniversary and were making friends with our tablemates when close to the end of the meal service (after the meat was dished but before the dessert) a manger from the hotel came up behind us and wanted to talk to us about our experiences (we had expressed our rough start with everything we were wanting to book and couldn't while checking in). Where everyone could hear everything, disrupting them I'm sure and making us uncomfortable for how much detail to go into and it was just awful. They served the dessert (ice cream on something puffy) while the manager was talking to us and ours just melted everywhere while talking to her making a mess and so we wouldn't enjoy eating it. It was a dinner I surely will never forget now. We booked a stay here because of one favorable YouTube video. We should have read through all the other reviews that have the same complaints we do, and the same cookie cutter 'were working to get better' response from HR.

Save your money . Unless you like disappointment
This place is a D at best. The communication was terrible 24 emails. 3 responses . Not even correct ones. 14 for transportation. Crazy. Wasn't even handled correctly after all that. 6 to the spa. Zero response. The rest to general hotel for questions. This is a place for alcoholics. the food is trash . The drinks are even worse tasting then the food. 6 drinks not one we could take more then a couple sips . At this rate id love to just pay for a good drink .. The room is overall nice but it is dirty. Ill share pictures. We were so pumped for this property. We never did hard rock before. This is for sure the last time . For 700 to 2k a night I have never felt so robbed. They claim luxury. It is not . So far from it . The staff is kind but terribly trained. The poolside entertainment is good . The ocean we knew you couldn't swim in which we like that OK they have tons of pools . We were informed upon checking in they close around 6 to 7pm . On the pool subject it is so hard to find a spot to sit. The adults section is full all day unless you wanna pay for some budget looking cabanas. What im saying is . For the money spent you should be feeling great . Instead we are so excited to leave here. As for the ocean we saw whales and were 20 yards away from the water and some staff comes up and says we need to move away from the water... I couldn't have even thrown my phone to the water.... this place is to babysit drunks. No real entertainment. No good eats. Just overpriced corporate bs. Hopefully this saves somebody money Im so excited to be going to a Hilton from here. Im sure the property will respond to this but just know I tried to talk to anyone in person and no one cared.dont believe the lies.

Great family Experience at Hard Rock Los Cabos
My wife, our four‑year‑old daughter, and I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos from January 26th to February 2nd, and we have nothing but great things to say about our experience. From start to finish, the resort exceeded our expectations. The check‑in process was smooth and efficient, allowing us to get settled and start enjoying our vacation right away. Throughout our stay, the food at every restaurant we visited was excellent—with great variety, quality, and service. We want to extend a special thank‑you to a few staff members who truly went above and beyond for our family. At the main pool, JP, Edgar, and Pedro (Hernandez) were all fantastic. They made our daughter feel welcome and cared for every single day. Because of them, we always tried to sit in their section—they consistently created a fun and relaxing environment for all of us. Another heartfelt thank‑you goes to Juan at the Umo restaurant. We dined there twice, and Juan made both experiences memorable. During our final dinner, he made our daughter feel especially important, which meant a lot to us and made the evening unforgettable. There are countless great people working at this resort, but we wanted to highlight these individuals for making our stay truly exceptional. We highly recommend the Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos to families and travellers looking for outstanding service, great food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Great Stay with a Great View!
Wonderful stay! The property was fabulous, our room (1332) was amazing, and the service was great. Mar took care of our every need and truly made our vacation an unforgettable experience! Thank you, Mar! The property is a bit of a drive away from the Cabo San Lucas marina, beaches, and bustle, and therefore it gives a different sort of vibe. Even so, Lore did a great job getting the entertainment team to keep things moving. The food and food choices were nice, the pools are plenty big (although can get a bit chilly in the winter, of course), and the spa is wonderful. Definitely one of our favorite all inclusive properties and staff to date. Nearby activities To get to the Cabo San Lucas activities is a $44, 25 minute drive via taxi (no ride shares are allowed on the way out) and an Uber back to the hotel is somewhere around $17 Safety Security is always around the beach access, and the few beach vendors are friendly and safe Walkability The property is remote, so walks are somewhat limited to the beach and the 3-mile access road Food & drinks Drinks are strong and well done. The food is a personal preference, but we found the selection and quality to be very good (not top-notch excellent). No complaints. Noteworthy details The view of the pacific is gorgeous, and yes you can see whales from the property and beach! Hotel highlights Great view
