  Great time with Friends. Another Legendary Experience.

  ​We visited Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in April 2026 for a family trip. We had such a great time that we decided to plan a return trip with friends in September. On our prior stay, we stayed on the family-friendly Hacienda side. This time, we stayed in the adults-only section—aptly named Heaven. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation as a couple or a fun getaway with a group of friends, a week in Heaven is just the right choice. ​The resort is large, but it is comfortably divided into distinct areas. There is the Roja (Red) Lobby and the Azul (Blue) Lobby for families, alongside the separate, adults-only Heaven area for a more peaceful experience. Each area features its own restaurants, pools, and activities. There is more than enough going on if you want to stay strictly on the adult side, but you also have full access to all the activities and dining on the family side. ​The grounds, pools, beach, and accommodations were first-class. The beach lagoon area is wonderful not only for swimming and kayaking, but also for snorkeling. Beyond the water, walking around the property offers sightings of colorful birds, coatis, capybaras, and monkeys. ​The evening shows were very entertaining. Across our two stays, we saw the Rock Show, the Queen Show, and Neon Humans. While we weren't able to catch the Michael Jackson show this time, we knew from our previous trip that the performance and choreography were first-rate. ​The dining was excellent. The Thai restaurant, Wai, was everyone’s absolute favorite—we ate there twice, and both the food and service were exceptional each time. Ciao, the Italian restaurant, was also a big hit with our group. Even with its Italian focus, the filet dinner there was as good as anything you would find at a top steakhouse. I would also highly recommend Le Petit Cochon, the French restaurant; everyone in our group who ordered the escargot said it was some of the best they had ever had. ​On our final night, we experienced the "Awaken the Senses" multi-sensory dinner. The meal is served in an interactive room featuring five small plates, each paired with its own craft cocktail. I won't spoil the details, but it is well worth booking. ​Finally, I want to acknowledge the outstanding team at Hard Rock who made our stay so memorable: ​Faro: All of the breakfast waitstaff were exceptional, with a special shout-out to Gabbie for top-tier service. ​Poolside: David was hands-down the best. He was incredibly attentive, went out of his way to look after us, and was always ready to show off his dance moves. ​Our Butlers: A very special acknowledgement to Diego and Luis. From the moment we arrived until the minute we left, they ensured every detail was taken care of. If you have Hall of Fame or Legendary Chairman status, I highly recommend requesting their service. They fulfilled every request, offered fantastic recommendations for dining and shows, and constantly went above and beyond to elevate our stay. ​All in all, I give Hard Rock Riviera Maya 5 stars and rank it right at the top of the Legendary experience!

  We had a wonderful experience.

  We had an amazing vacation here! The beach was absolutely beautiful, the pool was fantastic, and the service was a 10/10. The pool staff provided phenomenal service, and we also had a great experience at the restaurants. We are especially grateful to our butlers, Luis and Diego who were always available whenever we needed anything and made our entire stay more enjoyable. Their attention and excellent service truly made a difference. We had a wonderful experience.

  5th stay and best one yet

  Well, where do I start this was our 5th visit to the hard rock. The main disappointment is the reception staff it never seems to get any better, check in takes forever they are so slow always miserable and not helpful Over months I sent several emails asking to be in certain blocks if the hotel. When we got there, we were given a room at the opposite end that we had requested for. Going back and forth over 2 hours we finally got a room in another block , this is not a posh 5 stat hotel, but it has so many activities going on all day you will never be bored whether you have children or not. All the restaurants are amazing the staff and food are so good even though we could not make reservations we never had a problem and we was a family of 6 adults, the shows are great ,all the drinks are top shelf brands and they are more than happy to fill your own cups up , the water park was never too busy , also the bowling and lazer is good fun these are an extra cost but well worth it , the pool / towel guys willy originally from the hard-rock Cancun was amazing so friendly always made sure we had plenty of towels , my daughter got engaged and celebrated her birthday and he arranged to have all balloons put around her sunbed , brought her a cake and a bottle of fizz to celebrate, Diego, Orlando Carmelo, Gabriel, all helped too …last of all the entertainment staff this is one of the main reasons why we keep coming back to this hotel these guys are what makes this hotel they all deserve a medal for all the hard work they put in they never stop and we have made great friend over the years ,Mr Rulo goes above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need , Eduardo, Ovi, both always checking if was ok both cannot do enough to make sure we always are included in all the activities. Roberto Poncho, Mr Zuccini, Gi-Gi, Luna, baby shark. All are amazing people, Ely in bowling always there to help , the staff that drive the golf carts about the resort have the best job ever , the only downside was my daughter has a nut allergy we have never had a problem in the past and always really good but this time things had changed. The staff always ask if there is any allergies they write it down put it in your table then it seems to disappear and no one seems to mention anything so it was up to us to find a manager to ask to speak to the chef so he could walk us round and tell us what my daughter could have. This is all we want and this is how it had always been done in the past , they are very good at saying they can make you anything you want but you are going to a buffet restaurant and would like to pick what you want to eat. Personally, I don’t think the new procedure works they need to go back to how it used to be it should not be our job to approach a manager or chef. , I think it was the restaurant manager of Isla the guy with very short dark hair remembered us from previous time as soon as we went in there he was straight onto letting staff know and he was the only person that approached us he was really good at his job (sorry I didn’t get your name ) , the good out-ways the few not so good things but we will definitely be going back.

  Memorable holiday

  The hotel is very well kept and has all sorts of wildlife in the beautiful grounds. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could want or need. We even had snacks refilled daily in our room. But what made our stay exceptional was the level of service throughout the resort. Every member of staff greeted us with a smile and were extremely helpful. Our entertainment team were amazing and made us feel like family. Hector, Miss Grace and Danny boy are all wonderful and made sure we had the best possible holiday. They made us want to come back soon. Thank you all for making our holiday so special.
