This property has unfortunately been declining in quality. It used to offer a genuine all-inclusive experience, with activities such as sailing and snorkeling tours included at no extra cost. The popular “Sushi at Sunset” experience, once a highlight frequently mentioned in reviews, now comes with an additional charge. Given the nightly rate, the resort should reconsider this approach—guests shouldn’t feel nickel-and-dimed for experiences that were once part of the package.

Had a great couples getaway vacation at Hermitage Bay via Hilton SLH. The food was above average for an all-inclusive resort. The staff was amazing, learned our names and room numbers within a day after us being there. If relaxation is your goal, this place is it. Highly recommend it.

Where everybody knows your name....
As a travel advisor who has experienced many resorts, I came into this trip with high expectations, knowing I can be a bit critical. I’m happy to say this place exceeded all my expectations. Our only regret was not staying another night since we split our time with another property on the island. The resort offers true barefoot luxury, and the staff embodies the warm, engaging, and attentive Antiguan spirit. We stayed in a stunning villa at the top of the hill, and while we had no specific expectations for the room, we fell in love with its unobstructed views and peaceful ambiance. The outdoor shower with its breathtaking view was the highlight of the suite. The meals were thoroughly enjoyable breakfast was fresh and delicious, and lunch at the Beach Club was a favorite. I wish this spot was also used for other meals or sunset cocktails. Evenings at the main bar were lively, with live music and guests dancing and socializing. A couple of things were slightly disappointing: the lack of a dinner dress code, as some guests wore backward hats, jersey shorts, and shower shoes, and one of the two treadmills in the gym was out of service, which mattered on rainy days when walking outdoors wasn’t ideal. Overall, it was a lovely stay. The entire staff was equally kind, but I’d like to give a special thank you to Jillian for the beautiful bracelet she gifted me. One suggestion for improvement would be offering coffee delivery to the rooms, as it was challenging to bring coffee back to our suite, especially when lids were unavailable. We would definitely return and look forward to the ongoing additions planned at this property with the new ownership.

“See You Soon, Never Goodbye” – Our Sixth Stay at Hermitage Bay
This was our sixth visit to Hermitage Bay, and each time we leave, we remind ourselves to say “see you soon”—never “goodbye.” This resort truly is one of a kind. From the moment you arrive, everything you could possibly want is right at your fingertips. The all-inclusive experience feels effortless, the ambience remains intimate and serene, and the staff—each and every one—somehow always know what you need before you even have to ask. Our days here unfold in the most perfect rhythm: lounging on the beach, relaxing by the pool, taking out the Hobie Cat, or simply catching up with our favorite bartenders, who now feel more like family. When we’re ready for a little adventure, we’ll head out on a day trip to Barbuda or enjoy the sunset cruise, which never fails to remind us how special this place is. This trip, we had the absolute pleasure of trying the Omakase Experience, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Eight beautifully curated courses with perfectly paired wines and spirits, all presented by the head chef under the magical Tree Bar canopy. We’ve always loved the Tree Bar for sushi hour, but this experience elevated it even further. Sergio guided us through each course with warmth and precision—from delicate local fish and fresh sushi to lobster, tenderloin, and a matcha cheesecake so good it left us speechless. Rodrigo, the resident wine expert, paired each pour to perfection—his selections complemented every flavor flawlessly and added another layer of artistry to the evening. It’s safe to say we’ll be making this a tradition on every future visit. Hermitage Bay isn’t just a resort—it’s a feeling, a rhythm, a second home in paradise. Pure Paradise
My husband and I spent 5 nights at Hermitage Bay and it was nothing short of phenomenal. Perfect to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or just life itself!! Breathtaking views from an incredible hillside suite. The staff is so friendly and personable. They truly make everything as easy as it should be on vacation - and fun. The food is amazing, especially sushi by Mario, hot sauce by Stoney and you must try the jerk chicken wings. We alternated between the pool and beach, plus tried out the stand up paddle boards and hobie cat. Everyone must visit at least once, but once you do, you’ll want to keep coming back ;)
