Dorado
Service was great by Paula. Food was good! Seaside dinner was lovely without the kids as it’s adults only. Potatoes au gratin has Parmesan cheese on top on stead of cheese. Not expecting that! lol

A great getaway.
We had a great time staying at the Hideaway at Royalton. The service was very good. The atmosphere in the Hideaway section was wonderful. The swim up room was great. The Resort had many nice restaurants, bars, shops, and other activities to enjoy. A very good vacation get away. The massage and hydrotherapy at the spa was very good.

Club 18 to 30 meets Carnival Cruise on land.
I can not fault the staff at the Dorardo restaurant. They were excellent. Some of the bar staff were friendly. Lenny, the butler is an absolute gentleman. The food was good. We stayed in the hideaway swim up rooms for 2 weeks, the rooms are OK, just don't close as they have seen better days. As for the swim up rooms, you don't get any peace and quiet, either from people in the corridor or idiots having pool parties until 2am. In the day, you do not experience relaxation or privacy. I understand the rooms are sold as semi private, but they are not semi private when you get TRAMPS from all the non swim up room's taking a swim around the pool. This happened daily on many occasions, and, on one occasion, two delinquents thought it would be OK to have sex in the swim up pool (two more tramps who didn't feel the need to spend the extra money on a swim up room). I spent 6k on this holiday, and it was sold as peaceful and relaxing. It is neither of those things. I spent 10 days out 14 feeling awful, I'm not saying it was the food, but there is most certainly an issue as there was a party of about 50 and 47 were ill. The drinks are cheap sh*t that they keep under the bar. You have to ask for the top shelf liquor, and when you do, you get looked at like you've just taken a sh*t on his kitchen table. No one could make a proper cocktail, even with top shelf liquor. They don't measure the liquor out properly. The sea and beach are spectacular as long as you don't look back at the hotel because the beach looks like something from an apocalyptic film. The problem with this hotel is that it doesn't know what it is, it's sold as a party hotel, wedding hotel, lively, peaceful and relaxing. I'm afraid you just don't get peaceful or relaxing if you are selling it as a party hotel. This review is my own personal experience of this hotel. Some people may not have experienced some these things..... I did. I wouldn't return, and that's a shame because some of the staff are brilliant, also some aspects of the hotel were brilliant. Please don't send me a generic reply from the management as the negative aspects of this review have been happening for many years.

Culinary Experience at the Royalton Punta Cana
I had dinner at Dorado recently and overall enjoyed it. The food was good — some dishes stood out more than others. The risotto in particular was excellent, while other plates had nice flavors but didn’t all come together as a full five-course experience. The presentation was solid, and I liked that the chef came out to talk about the food. I just wished they shared a bit more about the story or inspiration behind each dish — not just a description of what was on the plate. The wine pairings seemed chosen to enhance the food, but at times I wasn’t quite sure how they were meant to complement each dish. A little more explanation there would’ve helped. Overall, it was a nice evening and I can see a lot of potential in what Dorado is doing. With a few small tweaks, it could easily be a five-star experience. I wish the team the best and hope to come back again.
