    Great hotel, a couple of niggles

    Excellent, hotel. Right on the beach. Great selection of restaurants. We were in the adults only section with a swim-up room, all excellent. One downside was the adults only pool which was un-useable for our entire 14 night stay as it was continually full of very loud / drunk Americans just standing in the pool drinking/socialising all day long so not available to use for swimming ☹️

    Juan is the man

    Juan at the Hideaway adults only bar made our holiday. His energy everyday was so memorable and drinks were always made to the best quality! If we weren’t a 10 hour flight away we’d be back weekly!

    February Vacation

    We arrived late afternoon to the hotel and had a Diamond member swim out room which comes with a butler. We were told our butler was with another room but would be with us shortly and one of the others would get us checked in and to our room. We didn’t meet our butler until next day, but after that he was great and helped a lot with reservations. Got us where we wanted to go. There were 3 in our party and we each got sick on different days, I’m sure due to the water. Don’t use it for anything but showers! We were told it was ok to use for brushing teeth, it is not. We were there to relax so we didn’t search out any night life. One of the days when we went to Gourmet Marche for lunch the waitresses were giving high fives and being extra handsy to kids and that rubbed me wrong. We hand sanitize as we enter but you want me to high five your ungloved hand that’s been high fiving everyone entering and running your fingers through kids hair? No. We loved our rooms! The swim out was great! The beach was nice, but over crowded. We were supposed to have a private Diamond club member beach, but I noticed other color bracelets in the area. I think that should be monitored. The towel guys were great at helping you find chairs though! We went to a few of the restaurants and I wouldn’t say they were exceptional but they were good. Royalton also has a shop they’ll take you too. It isn’t far away and there are good deals! We usually go through Delta vacations to book and they also have a shop they’ll take you too. Not as nice and farther away. This was not adults only. There were kids everywhere. All in all a good trip and I would recommend Royalton Diamond Member

    Lovely Hotel with Fabulous Staff!

    We had high expectations of this hotel and were not disappointed. It was spotlessly clean and the the service was superb in every way. Nothing was too much trouble. Having read the previous reviews we were impressed that any previous issues identified by customers had been resolved. Special thanks to our butler - Nazario, Salamon at the Hideaway, Jean Carlos and Joselito on the beach and the lovely Nicaury in the Diamond Club lounge. I would advise all to go for Diamond Club and Hideaway if you can, as it really is worth it and it enhanced our experience. We would definitely come again!

    Massively disappointed!

    On arrival we were left at the front of the hotel to be told go straight. Eventually we found Hideaway reception. Room ok, overlooked balcony every direction, no view. Not Dimond club, no butler, nightmare booking restaurants. It was included in our AI, when our rep contacted management to sort we actually got restaurant reservations at acceptable times. When we went the food was over cooked, solid, burnt and totally inedible! My husband became very ill, stomach bug, ruined our holiday. If you tip staff you get the service! If you pay extra you get a butler! We had already paid a lot for our holiday. I would not return or recommend. One positive is the lovely warm weather.
