Dec 11, 2025A couples getaway where you feel like part of the family
You have to visit this amazing resort. Location is incredibly convenient, just 15 minutes from the Cancún airport. A mix of family-friendly and adult-minded atmospheres makes for a pleasing experience for all. The rooms are spacious and nicely updated with large shower and a minibar that is filled daily. A nice level of ambient noise during the day that quiets down to a peaceful calm after sunset. The housekeeping and maintenance staff are highly attentive to any needs and the rooms are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness. We have to shout out Elizabeth B from housekeeping, who did an amazing job with our room and made us feel at home. The service here is some of the best we have experienced on any vacation. Spend just a few minutes getting to know the staff in the restaurants and suddenly they’re treating you like family. We have to give a special shout-out to Alejandra at Maxal for making our last two nights at dinner truly amazing. She went out of her way to give us some of the best meals we’ve ever had (even outside of a resort) with her combination of recommendations to make for an unforgettable experience. We were so impressed and pleased by her level of care and service that we couldn’t think of a better way to spend our last night. Once again, thank you to Alejandra for making our trip so special. We should also mention - Belkys (from Vela), Ignacio (from Maxal), Edmundo (from Maxal), Elvis (from Auma), Marcos (from the poolside bar). And of course, we can’t forget Guadalupe (from La Luce) for his amazing service and going above and beyond in welcoming us to La Luce and making some of our favorite nights here.

Great common area, room quality and services by the personnel… poor pool quality .. tyles are in bad bad shape, need major renovation. Beach is under-construction, noisy and you can’t enjoy it all day.

Clean, Fun, and Incredible Hospitality
One of the best vacations we’ve had as a couple! The hotel/room is simply great—clean, fun, and the service was outstanding. I’m attaching photos of the amazing team members who made our stay so special: Boris (Front Desk): Made our check-in incredibly smooth and surprised us by upgrading our ocean-view room to a fantastic "corner" ocean-view room. Aracely (Vela Supervisor): As Indian vegetarians, we started craving Indian flavors/spices after a few days. It’s usually tough to find those options, but Aracely heard us and took such good care. Gadiel (Concierge): Gave us very useful pointers on how to navigate the city like a local and great advice for visiting Isla Mujeres. Marco (Auma): Made our fine dining experience at Auma unforgettable; he really made us feel celebrated. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway! Note on location: The hotel is quite far from the main road, so it isn't very accessible for quick trips out, but we found the isolation made the experience even more fun and relaxing.
