Kudos to Hilton Cancun All Inclusive Resort
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this property and cannot say enough good things about the resort. A quick 15 minute ride from the Cancun airport and you are in paradise. Our room was not quite ready when we arrived but the staff treated us with a delicious buffet lunch and a tour of the pool/beach area. The lobby area is stunning, brimming with activity, and a wonderful place to meet other guests. Our ocean view room was spacious, immaculate, and very comfortable. The pool waitstaff Veronica, Ariana & Roberto in particular provided wonderful, friendly service & the made to order tacos were incredible. The highlight of our trip was waking up to the beautiful ocean and actually be able to swim in it. Too often in recent years the zaragosa seaweed has made it impossible to even walk on the beach much less swim in it. This ocean was INCREDIBLE-we swam for hours daily!!! I highly recommend this resort-kudos to Felix, Alfredo and their entire staff. We will definitely be back!

Do yourself a favor and please read the reviews before you go. Especially the poor ones, they're enlightening and honest
I don't even know where to start. I don't know if folks are able to see reviews I've posted in the past for other vacations. Let's just say I'm a very generous grader. Almost all of my stays have been rated 5/5. I am generally pretty easy to please. Every holiday will have bumps in the road, but look, I'm on holiday, the last thing I want to do is not have an amazing time. I booked this holiday during the busiest time of year. Peak holiday season. We all know it's going to be busy. It's all good. We chose this resort and paid a premium expecting a premium experience. Could have selected a more modest resort, but considering the expected crowds we thought paying a premium would lead to a premium experience. I will be the first to admit my mistake. This is a very poorly run hotel. If things go well for you, I'm sure it's a relatively nice and enjoyable experience. Reading the reviews, it seems this happens. I'm inclined to believe that's true. To some extent. The hotel is really clean. That was my experience anyways. I mean if nothing else, it's got that. The food is pretty good. The tacos were amazing. Though the tortilla chips were not made fresh, they were from a bag and salsa was shockingly hard to come by. The buffet is absolutely below average. The a la carte restaurants were pretty good. Food wasn't an issue as far as I'm concerned. As I alluded to earlier, the guest experience and the service at this hotel were shockingly sub par. I don't even know where to begin, in fact I'm going to sound so petty if I talk about it in a review. So I'll summarize. 1) The beach is relatively non existent. I understand that the hurricanes eroded the beach. That is out of the hotel's control. Of course, what can anyone do about that? The hotel needs to manage how it restores the beach with local laws. Got it. That's not my problem to manage though, and several years after the hurricane this is still an issue and they're still charging premium prices. The hotel though will GLADLY take your money and try to upsell you to the beach club next door where there is a nicer beach. I need to remind you here, I'm staying at a Hilton property, not some 2 1/2 star hotel somewhere. I'm already paying a premium. 2) So the beach is limited right? There are no lounges on the beach. Well you best be getting up at 530am to secure a lounger by the pool. Oh, I'm not kidding. We showed up at 7am and literally had nowhere to sit for an entire day. Oh, no. I'm not saying we didn't get a premium seat. I'm straight up telling you there was literally no where outside to sit or lounge or do anything. I could go on an on about the excuses the management made or that once again we're at a premium resort where management was basically making guests literally fight each other for seating, but I'll let you figure this out. I've painted the picture. 3) The layout of the hotel is not conducive to a proper vacation. There are few common areas and the ones that exist are limited and therefore crowded. 4) Hotel management is responsive but incompetent. I do not envy Juan Rolando. He's a very nice man and he responds to most TripAdvisor reviews. He listens to you but he solves nothing. I'm going to assume this isn't his fault, he was very attentive but he isn't empowered to do anything. Don't be fooled by his responses. The hotel still owes us money and he's ghosted us since we left and I'll get into this in point 5. 5) My daughter celebrated a birthday while we were there. We ordered (and paid for) a cake 4 days ahead of time. This was after several discussions with Juan Rolando about the poor experience we'd been having. We arrived to dinner that night only to find out, they lost our cake order. Not only that, but 30 days later still have not provided a refund. In fact, we've received no compensation whatsoever even though we're Hilton Honours status members. I could honestly write so much more. If you're fron Hilton reading this- do better. If you're a perspective traveler, I offer the same advise. You can do better. Go elsewhere. These guys suck.
