Dec 10, 2025Not living up the the Hilton name
I'm shocked this hotel bares the name "Hilton". First, you cannot just check in at the desk without reservation even if there is no room. We needed a last minute hotel and had to book the hotel setting in the lobby where there is zero free wifi so unless you have a local phone or way to get wifi to book you are in for a long afternoon, just to book. Then the staff treat you as you have issues because you didn't have some pre-planned, pre-paid room. The entire reason for a hotel is finding a nice room when you are outside of the comfort of your home and you pay a lot of money for this hospitality. That hospitality was no where to be found in this hotel. After we finally got an overpriced room we were given zero help with luggage or directions to luggage carts while many staff just hung around and chatted amongst themselves. Not a great welcome at a strong tourist destination as this. Once we got to the room it felt under furnished with cheap flooring and no place for our clothes and no closets. It looked as if the room was not finished after construction. This hotel is very unbecoming for the Hilton brand and name that i've used over the years. I hope this hotel is investigated by the Hilton corporate and rectify these issues lacking in customer care and hospitality.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn by the airport for our last night in Costa Rica, and it was exactly what we needed. Check-in was quick and easy, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. We left early the next morning for our flight, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient. If you have a morning flight, we definitely recommend staying here!

Just stopped to visit part of our group while on vaca. A Large group had dinner at their restaurant. It was delicious. The presentation was amazing and the food was great. Kevin did a great job as out server. Very impressed! Snapper, catch if the day pic.

It smells, it's noicy, it's awful
Had the unpleasant experience of staying at this hotel when our flight got cancelled with short notice. A few examples of what we faced: - One hour wait for the shuttle to be transferred to the hotel. Another 2 hour wait standing in line to check in to the room. And..finally more than one hour wait after being seated at our table in the restaurant until the food was served at the plate. Yes, all the waiting time described can be somewhat excused by the fact that a flight was cancelled ant that a large number of guests arrived unexpectedly but being a hotel by the airport there should be some type of backup planning for these occations. - The room itself smelled awful (a combination of ingrained smoke in the full floor carpet along with a clear odor of urine in the bathroom). The beds were like sleeping on a block of concrete and the noice of the AC was equivalent to that of an aiplane engine. The title of this review was expressed by my wife when entering the room. The only other experience this bad was a hotel in Copenhagen a few years back where (where the receptionist handling the check-in process simultaneously also acted as the bartender in the bar - to give you an idea). Not a very good last memory from an otherwise amazing vacation in beautiful Costa Rica.

A great place to stay before flying out of the airport
It's five stars for what it is ... a comfortable, safe, reliable place to spend one night before flying out of the airport. It was very close to both our rental car agency and the airport. The bedding was comfortable. We ate dinner in the restaurant, where we had good food and a friendly server. I wish they would by default provide four bath towels when there are four people staying in the room, but we were able to get another towel from housekeeping.
