    Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta! Excellent stay. Great staff, atmosphere and food. Only negative was all the construction noise. Shout out to Wilian for the bacon at breakfast and to Emma for the daily Spanish lessons at breakfast and lunch. Carlos, Miguel and Antonio at the pool kept our drink cups full all the time. They always greeted us with a friendly smile and were extremely attentive throughout the whole day

    Don't go this resort

    > Stayed August 30 – September 4, 2026 (booked through WestJet Vacations, confirmation 153980543). Both my son and I suffered numerous insect bites, starting in room 823. When we reported it, the hotel moved us to another room and sent pest control to inspect — they claimed nothing was found. Two days later we found an insect on the bed in the second room and photographed it; the hotel dismissed it as "a black ladybird, not a bedbug" based solely on their own look at the photo, with no independent assessment. Our doctor confirmed insect bites. The hotel denied any compensation. Whatever the insect was, we were bitten repeatedly during our stay and the response was dismissive. Families traveling with children should think twice. **WestJet Vacations 评价（发 Google 搜 WestJet Vacations 写评价）：** > Booked a vacation package to Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta, August 30 – September 4, 2026. My son and I were bitten by insects throughout the stay. When I filed a claim, WestJet Vacations simply forwarded the hotel's denial, stating that compensation is "at the discretion of the hotel." So much for customer advocacy — they act as a mere mailbox. To add insult, their denial letter addressed me as "Ms. Zhou" — the wrong title, suggesting nobody actually reviewed the file carefully. If something goes wrong on your trip, don't expect WestJet Vacations to stand up for you.

    Absolutely Crap

    Absolutely crap of a place. Half the restaurants are closed. Adult pool is empty & dry, rooms not cleaned in a timely manner. Limited food choices, no bacon or sausage at breakfast, Food in buffet is leftovers from precious days. Family pool is disgusting, dirty, piss cloudy, looks like not cleaned in years. Very old & dated, limited up keep, no toilet seat in bathroom at buffet, broken light switches, Think twice before booking this joint.

    Terrible

    Currently staying at this resort, and unfortunately, the experience has been very disappointing. There is active construction both inside and outside the resort, which significantly affects the overall experience. What’s particularly frustrating is that this was not made clear before booking. Once here, the concierge pushes you to pay more to move to the newer rooms/suite section, or suggests moving to the Hacienda section, which does not offer the ocean-view experience we booked for. I also had an extremely uncomfortable interaction with one of the concierge staff members who raised his voice at me, which is completely unacceptable in a hospitality setting. The food has also been a major disappointment. There are limited options, and the overall quality is poor. Based on our experience, this does not feel like a 4-star resort; it feels much closer to a 3-star property. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering booking this resort specifically ask about the ongoing renovations and construction before paying. I’m also very surprised by some of the recent reviews that make no mention of the construction at all, because it has been very noticeable during our stay. Unfortunately, the resort we arrived at is not the experience we believed we were booking.
