  Awesome experience at the Hilton Sedona

  The room was spacious clean and cute I was really satisfied with my overall experience. Beautiful view restaurants close by. I want to give a shout out to Rachel at the front desk she was very nice and answered all my questions. I also want to give a shout out to Shanna from the parking staff, she explained the parking very well and went above and beyond and took my luggage to my room my husband just had some surgeries on his heart he can’t walk to long without taking a break Shanna patiently waited and was very empathetic in the situation. She is amazing. Thank you Shanna!!!!! We definitely will be back

  Overall sub par experience

  My husband and I stayed here for a conference. The location was great and our suite was incredibly spacious. The room was reasonably clean; however….we almost never got maid service. We went to the front desk multiple times requesting maid service ( which seems weird when you are staying at a hotel) , they kept saying “ are you on the list?” On the list? What!?!? I can understand opting out of maid service but opting in? Seems weird. I had to sleep on the couch the whole week because the mattress was so saggy. My husband had no problem with it but I am a side/stomach sleeper and it was awful. Of note I travel ALOT and have never had a mattress that was so clearly old. Finally the spa was under construction; however I was still charged full price for the services that took place in a hotel suite. As a spa addict I chose this hotel because I wanted the “spa experience” and this was not it. I think that the services should’ve been discounted a bit to make up for the sub par experience. Although I loved Sedona I would not stay at this hotel again.

  Didn’t live up to expectations

  Dated property and even more dated beds. Ours had huge divots, not great for side sleepers. website show lovely room pictures. Ours looked at a rock wall, zero view Lastly, website says free parking, it’s $25.00 per day to park at an offsite parking lot.

  Common areas are fresh and modern, the hallways and rooms need an upgrade

  The hotel has a good location on the south end of the village of Oak Creek. It is about 15 minutes south of the busier Sedona area. Many of the best restaurants in the area are about 15 minutes north, although there are many places to eat in Oak Creek. The front yard of the hotel faces North and East, with views of Bell Rock, thus the name. The entrance is clean, modern, and updated, as is everything on the first floor (restaurant, reception, market, lounge area). The Rooms are clean and housekeeping came in daily to freshen things up. Our bedroom was a bit on the warm side, while the living area/dining area was nicely chilled by the AC. We requested a few fans to circulate the air, and they delivered them right away and this fixed the warm bedroom issue. We like fans, so this was no inconvenience. The hallways leading to the room are very dated. The carpet is worn/tired, and the ice machine area (which we didn't use) needs to be refreshed a little. The exit signs on the doors and in the hallways are many decades old. We stayed here as part of a conference, so the rate seemed competitive. It was mid week, off season. The hotel is quiet. Given the time of year, there were no kids at the hotel. The pool was visible from our room, but we did not have time to use it. There is a hot tub. The resort charge includes access to the athletic club, which was fine. Many of the fitness classes were cancelled. The spa was under renovation, and the larger lap pool at the club was out of service. We would have enjoyed both, but arranged spa services off site in Sedona. On several occasions, housekeeping would leave dirty linens and towels in the hallway against the wall, for hours, which was a bit unsightly. One evening, there was still a bunch of used linens in the hallway at 10pm. I used the chat function in the app and asked someone to pick this up, which they did. There was also a glass that sat in the hallway for 12 hours, which they grabbed at the same time. There are opportunities to make the hallways to the rooms look more inviting. In summary, the staff at this hotel was great. The exterior and first floor are inviting. The upstairs hallways are tired and in need of updating. The rooms are clean but getting old. You should check to see if the athletic club, lap pool, and spa are in working order before making a reservation.

  Aging / Overpriced/ Poor Viees

  Where do I start... Staff was fantastic in this aging overpriced and low value "place". Our "King Mountain View" room had a huge mesquite tree for a view rt against the rail. They did move us to a better room and comped us $50. Next room had a running toilet that had to be fixed, balcony rail half rotted, bathroom door that would not close, and a wine glass that shattered in my hand. We went to the restaurant one evening for a charturie board and they had the price $10 more than the room card. Snacks in the lobby should have a police guard at their prices- $4 for a single Kind bar. Lastly- even on Labor Day they closed the pool drink/food bar at 5pm. Many better places that cost less and way better views in town of Sedona. Adios Hilton
