Wonderfully Staffed Hotel and Great Location with a lovely beach.
We stayed in Puerto Vallarta for a long weekend (Friday–Monday) as a group of about 20 for a family member’s destination wedding, and our experience at The Hilton Vallarta was fantastic from start to finish. Arrival The staff was friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. Our rooms took a little extra time to be ready, but we were comfortable grabbing a late lunch and cocktails while we waited. Everyone we interacted with was professional and kind. Rooms & Stay Our room was exactly as described and nicely appointed. The bed was super comfortable, and the blackout curtains made it easy to get great rest. Even with multiple large groups and events going on, our room was quiet—we never heard a thing. The hotel staff were consistently pleasant and spoke both English and Spanish fluently, which made everything very easy. Special kudos to Daniel and Omar at the adults-only pool—they were amazing: attentive, friendly, and fun. The pool activities were a hit with family members of all ages. Food We ate breakfast at the Vela buffet every day. It was always well stocked, with plenty of variety, and the omelet station cook was fantastic. We often had lunch there as well. Our group also dined at Seasalt/Auma Grill and La Luce. Service and food at both were excellent. The standout dish for our group at the grill was the filet—highly recommended. Bars The swim-up bar staff were great and made excellent frozen and classic cocktails. We especially enjoyed the Martini Bar; the team there makes an outstanding Lemon Drop Martini. Cabañas If you’re planning a stay, I highly recommend reserving a poolside cabana. It was wonderful to have a comfortable “home base” to relax, gather, and enjoy the pool. At one point, our group had four cabanas and loved it. Checkout Checkout was smooth and trouble free. The staff member who assisted us took the time to review the bill carefully and even caught and corrected an error on the spot. It’s so much easier to fix things like that while you’re still at the hotel, and we really appreciated the attention to detail. Overall, this was a fantastic stay for our entire group, and I would absolutely recommend The Hilton Vallarta.

Man, it was the best. Will be back!
Had a great stay at this fabulous resort. Booked a partial ocean view, however it was only partial because the balcony next door stuck out a bit. The view was great! A bell was rung whenever there were whales or dolphins so we could see them. The staff were super friendly, courteous and responsive. Our server by the pool, Daniel, was the best. He made sure to point out the little things to make our time better and made minor adjustments to our umbrella and side tables that made it percentages better. Highly recommend, however, I dont want to spread the recommendation too much so it becomes hard to book. :-)

Exceptional Service and Genuine Hospitality
We had a great stay at the Hilton All-Inclusive Resort in Puerto Vallarta. The resort was very clean and offered fun, engaging entertainment throughout our visit. Blanca, the entertainment specialist, was wonderful—always friendly, remembered us each day, and greeted us with laughter and a smile. Daniel from the service staff was fantastic as well: attentive all weekend, consistently cheerful, and always making sure we had everything we needed for food and drinks while relaxing on the deck. Jorge, our enclave breakfast waiter, truly made our mornings special. We ate breakfast there every day, and he was incredibly kind and engaging—teaching us about the whales and whale watching, always ready with a perfectly made latte, mimosa, or Bloody Mary, and taking our orders with a positive, welcoming attitude that made us feel like we really got to know him. We also want to thank the lifeguard team. I was briefly caught in a riptide, and they responded immediately and professionally, stepping in before I even realized I was in trouble, and even checking in with me the next day. While we were disappointed to miss the Michael Jackson experience and had a few minor frustrations with menu descriptions and checkout, the warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism of the staff made this a memorable stay.

Sun, Beach, Ocean, relax
Perfect Stay in Puerto Vallarta – Great Service and Amenities!” Review: We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Hilton Riviera in Puerto Vallarta, and we couldn’t have been happier! This was my second visit at this resort. The property is beautiful and offers breathtaking views of the ocean from each room. No upgrades necessary to have full view of the ocean! The highlight for us was the staff, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. A special shout-out to Bibiana in the gym, who was incredibly welcoming, supportive and helpful. We also loved dining at the hotel restaurants. The team there, especially Alex at La Luce and Exmel at Maxel were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. Dimitri at breakfast buffet was amazing so were all employees from housekeepers to hostesses and maintanace crew. The combination of great amenities, stunning location, and genuinely caring staff makes this hotel a true gem. We left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Highly recommended!”

.Good bad and ugly
**A Bit of a Slippery Slope — But Still a Pleasant Stay** This visit to the Puerto Vallarta Hilton came with both positives and negatives. We’ve stayed at this property before—both at its current location and when it was previously situated elsewhere—and as Diamond members, we enjoy using our points here. One thing worth noting for future guests: the number of points required for a stay can fluctuate significantly from day to day. If you check availability one day and book the next, the required points may increase substantially. In our case, they actually doubled. Definitely something to keep an eye on. That said, arrival at the hotel is always smooth and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm and attentive. The bellmen were consistently kind and ready to help—every single time. Adrianna checked us in efficiently, and we were off to room 910. The room itself was clean, well appointed, and had a truly remarkable view. Unfortunately, there were a few issues with the room. We requested daily quick service—fresh towels and the bed made (no sheet changes)—but service was either missed entirely or arrived late in the afternoon, often around 3:30 PM or later, when we were back from the pool and changing. One day was actually skipped. The housekeeper was pleasant, just not timely. One afternoon, our fire alarm went off and took 30–45 minutes to resolve. It’s extremely loud, and while these things happen, it wasn’t ideal. We also experienced ongoing TV issues—the picture would work fine for about 20 minutes and then glitch badly, requiring us to change channels back and forth to reset it. Not deal-breakers on their own, but irritating when they start to stack up. Adding to this, just like our last visit, the elevators seem to have a mind of their own and occasionally don’t work at all. Now, back to the good. Breakfast is excellent, and the omelet station—with the dancing omelet maker—is a highlight. Be sure to step outside for the fresh-made tortillas; watching them being prepared is part of the experience. Service across breakfast is consistently top notch. We usually only eat one dinner at the hotel, and this time we chose the Italian restaurant. It did not disappoint—excellent food and service. Pool service was also outstanding. Melquiardes and Alfredo took great care of us, and for us, securing loungers was never an issue—aside from the sun occasionally disappearing behind the building (can’t fix that!). A big shout-out to Christian from the welcome staff. We had previously asked for recommendations for a local, authentic Mexican restaurant, but later ran into Christian in the hallway as he was getting off work. He didn’t even have a pen on him, yet took our room number and emailed us several recommendations within minutes. Even better—we ran into him again just outside the restaurant, now in his street clothes. He remembered us instantly and greeted us with that same big smile. That’s Christian—the guy with the smile. Thank you. We also visited the spa and had a wonderful experience. Lexi gave one of the best massages I’ve ever had—and I’ve had many. The hotel bars, however, were only so-so, with the exception of the lobby bar. The mojito bar was nearly empty and completely quiet when we stopped in. The martini bar was entirely dead, and frankly, the décor felt old and dated. We took one look and turned around. In the end, we will return—this is still a Hilton property, and the staff truly makes the experience. While the hotel itself could benefit from some updates and attention to its lingering issues, Hilton has clearly done an excellent job hiring and training its employees. We genuinely felt pampered, and that goes a long way.
