    Average and could be better

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The aircon was just the perfect temperature. Had a good night’s sleep every night. Would rate higher if it weren’t for a few niggles. The bed could be a bit firmer for me. The water pressure in the shower was just ok and could be a bit stronger. The room size was not as spacious as I expected but it didn’t feel cramped because of the ocean view. I love the natural light in the room because of the view. We didn’t have bathrobes to use which I found strange as it was listed under general amenities. It would also be better if the tv can do casting from personal devices. The hotel is looking a bit rundown and would benefit from a spruce up.

If you need help, it won’t be there at this Hilton.

There was an issue that could have happened at any hotel, no matter how well kept or clean so I won’t write about that nor is it the reason for the poor score. It was how they addressed the situation or better said, how they failed to. I notified them of the issue and they couldn’t move me they said but they would call me the next day to try to move me. They didn’t call, I had to. They couldn’t move me still. I had to leave the hotel. A week into my two week stay. The front desk apologized but offered me no assistance in moving hotels. They said a manager would call to apologize. No manager called me. I called them and talked to a front desk supervisor, Mike. He said he would look into it and would call me back. He didn’t. I sent Mike a message. He didn’t return the call. I called again about couple weeks later as to talk to the hotel manager. Left a message on a voice mail. And guess what? They didn’t call me back. I called again and left a message on the general managers voice. The manager had a staffer, who was a former manager, call me. Nice enough, heard me out. He agreed with me that being ignored never feels good and they shouldn’t have done it. He offered me 25k points which I took to get off the phone. Hilton Diamond Desk wrote me and asked how I felt about the resolution. I told them I still feel bad because well, no one wants to be made to feel like a chump and ignored. They wrote back and literally only wrote back they they were sorry I was I unhappy. I’m a lifetime diamond and the first time ever complaining. I feel like when I needed assistance, this hotel really let me down. Don’t stay here not because the hotel isn’t ok enough. It because if something goes wrong they won’t help you. And if the hotel isn’t reading this, please don’t even respond with something like you are sorry because I don’t think you really are. Else it wouldn’t have come to this.

Great place to stay in Waikiki

Great place to stay in Waikiki. Location was walkable to beach and many restaurants/stores but not in the bustle of everything. We had a Mountain View room and had no problems with noise. Elevators were fast and housekeeping came daily. Fresh towels for the pool/beach were available 24-7. I spent a lot of time researching hotels before booking and overall, was glad I chose the Hilton Waikiki Beach (especially over the Hawaiian Village location).

    A great 7 night stay

The hotels choice was based on 2 queen beds and a standard room rate of 60k points per night. staying 4 on your Hilton honors gets you 5th night free as well as avoiding taxes and resort fees. Purchasing points in this case cost $1800 (buy one get one promo) with a 7 night stay at 360k points. thats $257 a night total. 2 blocks from beach and if you are fortunate to receive an upgrade, (we did, ocean view) its really a great deal. The building in front of hotel is a low building so ocean views are straight at the ocean and the surf break. They give you $36 a day for hotel shops, bar, breakfast, Starbucks, you have to try to squeeze breakfast for 2 out of $36. ordering a la carte got us pretty close. The poolside bar had a decent happy hour with some discounted cocktails. The staff was great, desk was always attended. phone was always answered. Purified water stations are in a few spots to fill water bottles. ice machine always had ice. elevators were not crowded and fast. Rooms were cleaned daily to your desired level. hotel lobby and pool were very clean. The 2 queen room was very nice. Modern shower, room safe, and a quite small fridge. Some city noise like fire trucks, loud cars and early morning dumpsters. Location is 5 stars. a little away from the chaos but a few minute walk to beach or the main tourist shop/restaurant area.Good food trailers a block away. Pool area is very inviting, Large gathering spots, fire tables, pool and hot tub. Bags, and a little free mimi golf course Can be breezy/windy. pool is on 10th floor. Thanks Hilton Waikiki Beach staff for a great week.

    Great Hotel, Great Customer Service

I was compelled to leave a review due to the great service I received and for the my overall experience. The staff were very helpful, but Camille really stood out to me. She was not only professional, but extremely personable. She provided me with many great recommendations. She definitely enhanced my trip to Hawaii, due to her knowledge of Waikiki and the island. I look forward to visiting again, and hope that she will be there upon my return.
