  Great Stay

  I had the pleasure of staying here for 5 nights recently. My room was large and clean, comfy bed and on a floor dedicated to IHG Rewards members, Front desk staff was courteous and helpful (shout out to Ian) and the breakfast spread was among the best I've experienced. Several tasty hot dishes which rotated daily and a great variety of fresh fruits, meats and cheeses, perfect for fueling up before a day exploring the city.

  Disappointing Experience

  My wife and I booked a one-night stay at this hotel prior to our flight home from Tocumen International Airport. The hotel is located in a quiet area of the Financial District. The outer facade appears to be a bit aged and needs a facelift, with the typical design for the interior of the hotel very much aligned with other HI establishments. We were fortunate to have an early check-in and late check-out the next day, thanks to Armando who was really helpful and is a true asset to the hotel. The room was clean but small. Lighting was disappointingly dim and the bathroom amenities were below average in comparison to other IHG branded hotels I've stayed at. We had a good night's rest as the soundproofing in the room disallowed street noise from outside. Breakfast was poor with very limited protein and fruit selections. The bread and pastries on offer were hard and stale so unfortunately we ended up leaving much of the food uneaten. Check-out was very easy the next day and it was simple to get an Uber to head to the airport. As much as we loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel staff, the experience was disappointing and represented below-par value for money (in comparison, we spent only 12% more per night to stay at the RIU Plaza Hotel nearby which offered a far better experience).

  I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Panama Distrito Financiero by IHG and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to explore the city and nearby attractions. The staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. Check-in was smooth and efficient, which set the tone for a relaxing stay. My room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with everything I needed for a pleasant visit. One of the highlights was the breakfast—it was fresh, delicious, and offered a good variety to start the day right. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm and well-maintained, which made it easy to unwind after a day out in Panama City. Another big plus was the convenience of transportation. The metro station was only about an 11-minute walk from the hotel, making it easy to get around the city. The area felt very safe, which gave me extra peace of mind when going out and returning in the evenings. I truly appreciated the level of service and attention to detail throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Panama City, whether for business or leisure. I look forward to staying here again in the future!

  Excellent Hotel

  Lovely hotel located in a vibrant neighborhood. Rooms were clean and practical. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the closest subway station. We ate breakfast once at the hotel restaurant and it was good. I was impressed with all of the staff that we encountered. I wish I could remember the name of the staff member who checked us in as she very professional and helpful, and provided us with information regarding the local area during our stay. Restaurant staff were also very pleasant. All-in-all, I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again and will recommend it to my associates and friends.
