    Disaster

    I would not even give one star if that were possible. I made a reservation through Booking.com. After seeing the first room, I immediately asked for another one or requested cancellation. The room was in an unacceptable condition — visible dirt, a broken shower head, mold in the bathroom, and a toilet in a shocking state. Unfortunately, the two other rooms that were shown to me were in exactly the same poor condition. I therefore requested a refund for the prepaid stay. The receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. At first, she stated that a refund to the card was not possible. After I asked to speak to a manager, she made a phone call and then claimed that the refund had been processed. She even showed me a receipt confirming that the payment had been cancelled. However, when the money did not appear in my account, I contacted my bank. It turned out that the refund had been made to a completely different card than the one used for the original payment — most likely not mine. Dirty rooms, unprofessional service and what appears to be a case of refund fraud. I strongly advise against booking this place. The rest can be seen in the photos.

    Not recommended for a long stay!

    We arrived very early in the morning at 2 am at the hotel without reservation. However, it was possible to check-in without any problems. The conditions of the hotel were insufficient. Rooms were very small and dirty. In case for a short stop over this hotel is ok.

    Noisy but good

    2 Mares is a hotel that is in the middle of downtown Panama....It has a restaurant next door and has seven floors. I arrived at Dos Mares at about Midnight and was surprised to meet two persons at the reception all smiley and courteous. The hotel is an older property so a lot of stuff does not work the way it should the AC is controlled from front desk and hot and cold water work great. The beds were comfortable but because the property is downtown it is a bit noisy . Great for the price.The front desk personnel were always helpful and they go above and beyond.

    Cheap and over priced

    Where to start....no parking. The elevator doors close on you. No shampoo in the rooms. If you get a good deal you don't get breakfast included. Odd smell Old and poorly maintained. And yes cockroaches.

    Lovely Panama

    Panama is one of my favorites cities to visit, I love the food,the weather, city sight seeing, going shopping.. I stayed at Hotel Dos mares during my two visits to Panama, it is located just like 4 blocks to the Malecon, where most people go for walks and eat fish.. lol .. nice park there and for excising.
