This is my second extended stay at the Hotel Coral Suites in Panama City. As a solo female traveler, I really appreciate the central location in El Cangrejo, which offers easy access to grocery stores, fondas, restaurants, and the Metro. The area feels safe, and taking an Uber to any destination is convenient if you’d rather not walk—especially when it's too hot or rainy. The rooms are spacious and include a kitchenette with everything you need, plus a full-size refrigerator and stove. This setup is a great way to save money during an extended stay, as I typically eat out very infrequently. Each room also features free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a dining area, and a spacious desk, making it feel like a studio apartment. Daily housekeeping is a nice touch, and I appreciated the wall-mounted safe in the closet. During both of my stays at Coral Suites, the staff have always been kind and helpful, and they enjoy letting you practice your Spanish as they practice their English. I didn't use the fitness area since I walked a lot during my trips, nor did I use the washers and dryers available to hotel guests. However, I did enjoy the rooftop pool whenever I got the chance! I continue to recommend Hotel Coral Suites to friends traveling to the city. A word to the wise: If you decide to use the hotel shuttle for airport pickup or drop-off, be prepared to spend around $30 plus a tip. I recommend using Uber instead—it's a more comfortable and significantly cheaper option.

Great location and value in downtown Panama City.
I loved this place. It was centrally located. Close to restaurants and shops. I went out on great tours of the Miraflores Locks of the Panama Canal, Lake Gatun, a hike in a rainforest and a tour of the historic part of the city. The hotel had a small kitchen with full size refrigerator, coffee maker and enough cutlery and dishes. The rooftop pool is beautiful and has amazing views. There is also laundry room and 24 hour front desk for change or to ask questions. Staff ere all super nice! Prices were extremely reasonable. I would definitely stay there again.

A Wonderful Hotel - and Carmen Rocks!
The Coral Suites is a lovely, clean and very comfortable hotel in a Panama City neighborhood that has plenty of good restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The rooms are spacious and come with a kitchen. The bed could not have been more comfortable. There's also a tranquil rooftop pool with a nice view. The hotel is nicely affordable - the price is so much less than comparable hotels in the US. A special shout-out to Carmen at the front desk, who couldn't have been nicer or more helpful throughout the week we stayed there. The very courteous bellhop service was also appreciated. All in all, we had a superb stay and will definitely be returning!

Superb lodging!
Our two rooms (next to each other) were perfect - small kitchen, comfortable beds, adjustable and well maintained A/C, and plenty of space in the rooms. Hotel staff was very helpful with information about the immediate area. We throughly enjoyed our stay.

Let’s start with the roaches crawling around room. This place needs a complete overhaul. Everything about the place is dated, not in a good way. Do yourself a favor, run as fast as you can. It reminded me of a cheap motel, renting rooms by the hour. The room didn’t feel clean, although it was orderly. The upside to staying at this hotel, its in a very walkable neighborhood. Spend a few more dollars, you’ll be happy that you did.
