  My second home in Athens

  It is always with great joy that I return to this magnificent hotel, which has truly become my second home in Athens. Beyond the elegance of this property , the professionalism and kindness of the staff are simply unmatched. This is undoubtedly due to the excellent management of the hotel by its General Manager, Mr. Parvis Hom . He is very professional and very friendly When a property is so well managed, it is reflected in the quality of the staff. I would therefore like to take this opportunity to thank several team members who helped to make my stay exceptionally comfortable, pleasant, and unforgettable during the holidays season. First, I would like to thank the Butler team, led by Mrs. Eri who pays attention to every detail to ensure that each stay is an even more wonderful experience. As I have been coming for several years now, I no longer even need to share my preferences Mrs. Eri takes care of everything before my arrival. She is a very a radiant person, always smiling, warm, and genuinely attentive to her guests. She is a pearl for the establishment. A special thank you as well to Pavlos, a young butler who is highly professional, always in a good mood, and extremely efficient in handling any request. Very impressive he speak perfectly many languages . Many thanks also to the rest of the Butler team for their kindness and efficiency: Panos George Alexoglou George Fisekou Theodore Having breakfast with this breathtaking view of the Acropolis is an experience in itself. The exceptionally warm welcome from the restaurant manager, Mr. Savvas, sets the tone for a great day. Highly professional and attentive to every detail, he ensures that each guest receives a personalized welcome always with a great sense of humor , Mr. Savvas shares his joy of living and makes sure your day starts on a very positive note. His team is outstanding, and I would especially like to mention Andrew, a waiter who is always incredibly attentive and knows all of my culinary preferences. A big thank you to the entire team: Katarina Xefteri Christopher Fivos Konstantinos Tambakoglou Vicki Matina Jenny Natassia Anastasia Michalis Maria Papitsa Eleni Maria Dining at the hotel’s restaurants is an absolute must, and I highly recommend dinner at the Rooftop Restaurant. The restaurant manager Mr. Panagiotis, welcomes guests in a warm and friendly manner and is always very attentive. I would like to particularly thank Christina leader waitress , for her kindness and above all her professionalism. She is truly passionate about her work, has an excellent knowledge of the menus, provides detailed information about the origin of the ingredients, and possesses remarkable culinary expertise. Christina makes the dining experience truly enchanting. Christina is the gem of the Rooftop Restaurant. I would also like to thank Alexia for her kindness and positive energy during service. The new Chef, chef Giannis Rokanas, is absolutely outstanding his cuisine is flavorful, original, and refined, and will delight your taste buds. Once again, if all the restaurant teams are so professional, it is thanks to the exceptional manager of all the hotel restaurants, Mrs. Chrisa Despite her many responsibilities and undoubtedly very busy days, she is always available to guests and ensures that everyone enjoys an unforgettable culinary experience. Mrs. Chrisa is truly devoted to her work and shows remarkable kindness. I also highly recommend visiting the spa for any beauty treatment, makeup, manicure, or hairstyling. I had the pleasure of meeting the Spa Manager, Mrs. Anne Specque a very warm person who knows her profession perfectly and ensures that guests receive excellent service. At the spa reception, I would like to thank Mr. Theodoros, always smiling and extremely kind. A big thank you as well to Konstantinos men hairstylist he is truly professional, masters his craft down to the smallest detail, and is also very friendly. Many thanks to the team for perfectly styling and doing the makeup for my two sisters for New Year’s Eve. Dora Vicky Marta I would also like to thank the Housekeeping team on the sixth floor for their extremely thorough and meticulous work. The rooms are impeccably clean. Finally, I would like to express my deepest thanks to the Concierge, Dimitri, who was of invaluable help when one of my sisters fell in the street. He did everything possible to organize an emergency appointment at a private clinic, taking a great deal of time to manage everything. I am extremely grateful to him, as well as to his colleague George. In conclusion, this establishment is, without any doubt in my opinion, the finest hotel in all of Greece.

  Amazing luxurious accommodation

  Thank you very much to all the Butler staff especially to the pre arrival specialist and the excellent team of restaurant staff. I love the hospitality and the whole property location, safe environment and the view from the rooftop restaurant. I spent my birthday 🎂. They were very welcoming and went out to please me in every request. Absolutely it comes with a hefty price but it’s totally worth it 👍🏼 I enjoyed the food and the panoramic views of Athens’s beautiful historic landscape . It was refreshing to see how much of a city that is in front of you. The convenience of the proximity of this property makes you feel comfortable. Walking around the streets we’re not intimidating. I’ve been to this country several times before. This place has an amazing spa that relaxes me after a hectic day of browsing through the landmarks. Thank you so much Le Bretagne ♥️🙏👌

  Five-Star All the Way

  A real old-fashioned luxury five-star hotel. I couldn't have been more pleased. Check-in was quick and easy, the room comfortable and everything worked perfectly. It was early 20th century decor with modern plumbing, lighting, USB ports and the like. I thought the updating was very thoughtful. Location on Syntagma Square is perfect for walking to many attractions, shopping, restaurants, etc., and especially for experiencing the wonderful vitality of the people of Athens. We're Marriot Platinum and were comped breakfast in the rooftop hotel. Extensive menu, excellent service, and everything was delicious. We arrived early in the evening after a long flight and my wife conked out. I was too wound up to sleep and went to the bar in the rooftop restaurant, ordered a drink, looked out the window at the view of the Acropolis (attached), and knew it was going to be a great trip. I felt like Pericles. One tip: the temptation is to want a room with an exterior view. We had a courtyard view and at night it was dark and extremely quiet for sleeping. Recommend that.

  We first stayed at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in 2011 and have returned almost every year since. It is a rare gem that doesn't just maintain its standards but somehow manages to improve and surprise us with every visit. The rooms are a masterpiece of design, transporting you back to the elegance of the 19th century—you truly feel like nobility. However, what sets this hotel apart from any other luxury establishment is the people. • The Concierge Team: Led by Mr. Apostolos, they are quite simply the "Dream Team." No request is too small or too complex for them. • The Welcome: Mr. Spiros greets you with his signature smile, making you feel at home the moment you arrive. • The Efficiency: Ms. Eleni at the front desk, had us checked in within minutes—none of the unnecessary struggles or delays you find elsewhere. • The Heart of the Hotel: My personal favorite and a true national treasure of Greece is Mr. Kostas at breakfast. With over 20 years of authentic, unconditional Greek hospitality, he is the reason we look forward to our mornings here. If you are looking for a stay that combines historical opulence with world-class, heart-centered service, there is no other choice in Athens.

  Obnoxious & unwelcoming behavior from the blonde waitress at the cigar room.

  The blonde waitress at the cigar room today was unwelcoming and rude with a big “tongue” that shouldn’t exist at such a hotel! This landmark needs to have polite, elegant, discreet, and kind hearted waiters like the young man who was there too!
