“Do we need to tell you everything? “ Jhon - reception

I had an early departure at 7 today and there was no way to have a coffee since it’s week end, unless you pray on your knees. That’s what I did, with all the staff looked at me very badly. No problem… . But…. They have a box to take away, got to know it only when I saw another client asking for it. When I complained at the check in desk why they didn’t tell me instead of making me begging for a coffee, a very rude employee (tall bald guy named Jhon) snapped back at me that they don’t need to tell me everything and kept on answering me back in very rude way, like an upset adolescent. Awful. In addition, no restaurant during the week end and on Monday evening and very often closed for private events during the week. Unless you are desperate, I recommend to go in other hotels in the area, there are plenty. After many years, that’s what I’ll do.

Decent city hotel within walking distance to many of Brussels attractions

Ideal hotel for visiting the sights of Brussels city. The hotel has a quirky but nice wildlife conservation type theme with animal sounds playing through the speakers at the lifts on each floor, a nice touch. The hotel is located on the square at Rogier metro station so very easy to get to. The rooms although compact were very nicely decorated and included amenities you would expect from a decent city hotel. Brussels Guide books were even left in the room. We had breakfast included for only a little more than the standard rate booked. I can agree with other comments that the breakfast if paying separate at 27 Euro would have been a little on the high side for calibre of hotel. Even something as simple as English Breakfast Tea which is a staple in hotels worldwide was unavailable at the breakfast buffet on three mornings we dined there. We did ask for it and were given two bags, although it did seem a chore for the staff to find for us. Why they cant just add the bags to the rest of the tea selection on the buffet I don't know. The room was comfortable and the lobby and sitting areas were nice settings. I would consider the hotel again if visiting the city. Like any major area just be aware of your surroundings especially walking from the hotel to Brussels Nord train station.

    Rooms good. Breakfast overpriced.

Bed was comfy, room a bit small but it was OK. Bathroom was well equipped but tiny. If you're on the larger side of life I wouldn't recommend here. Coffee machine in the room, no kettle. Breakfast at €27 per person is absolutely outrageous. The coffee was out of a machine, not good. It was a very basic buffet breakfast for premium prices. I recommend going to The Hoxton for breakfast. It's half the price and super tasty, and made to order, and just down the road. Staff were very friendly, housekeeping every day.

    Lovely stay for two

The room was gorgeous, beautifully decorated, spacious, snug, cozy comfortable bed, comfortable pillows, appropriate shower supplied with washing creams and hair lotions. Air-conditioning and adjustable temperature gauge, safe, ironing board and refillable mineral water available in the foyer which was very convenient. That all you can eat breakfast was fantastic lots of suitable options coffee, juices suitable for all diet types and gluten-free options. The bar was lovely full of lots of Belgian beers to choose from the staff for a friendly there was also a non-alcoholic beer available. The only negative I’d say was that the restaurant was vegetarian only with practically no meat options. And maybe some additional fruit options would’ve been helpful on the breakfast such as dates.

    A hotel with a Soul

We attend with 2 kids and they were obsessed with every detail- from playful parrots on the walls to playlist it the shower. The whole hotel has such a special atmosphere-eco friendly, full of character and with real soul. You can truly feel that the team works as one family and their attention to gu at is exceptional. Also met Elena, the hotel manager, who greeted us with such warmth and care… As for me, the location is perfect-within walking distance to everything you might want to see in Brussels, yet not in overcrowded area. Easy parking and park right at the hotel. Will definitely come back!
