  A great experience overall, with several areas in need of improvement

  We booked a corner suite all-inclusive through Expedia. Travelling with another couple. You can read all the positives elsewhere, and there are many. I will just list the areas that need improvement. 1) Communications. It was just one-way through Expedia. Many spam messages from various "concierges" making offers but no response to my inquiries and requests for ground transport and dinner reservations, room preference. 2) Dinner reservations. I spoke with one rep to make dinner reservations and was told they don't know which restaurants will be open until the Sunday. What?! She said she would confirm by text and never did. We then booked directly online with each one and confirmed during check-in. 3) Check in. Took forever. The young woman at the desk was enjoying a very long conversation with a friend. We had requested the North tower but were informed it was closed due to the hurricane. We could see people going in & out, and on the roof top of the North tower. 4) Wine. Pathetic choices by the glass. There is only one cabernet and one merlot, 1-2 whites. All from the same Chilean winery and mid-shelf stuff at best. Not even the Italian (Noi) and steak (Bocados) restaurants had anything else to offer as part of the AI package. 5) Pool. An attendant said he would hold 4 chairs for us but when we got there 5min later, we were informed they can't reserve chairs. OK, so why can't we just take these ... because they are on hold for a group of 12 people. Another group of 10 at the other end. On day 3 I gave him $10 and he held 4 chairs for us. Surprise. A great experience overall, despite hurricane Simon. As I said, there is plenty of good stuff to read elsewhere so be sure to read up!

  Luxury stay - amazing balcony

  My husband and I stayed at the beautiful Hotel Mousai resort and enjoyed the Garza resort restaurants and amenities as well, which made the stay a good value with the all inclusive option. The location was perfect for views at every pool, restaurant, and balcony with private hot tub and hammock for the perfect romantic atmosphere. The staff was incredible across the board from the attendant that helped with our luggage, every waiter/waitress, bartenders, trolley drivers, attentive staff helping layout towels on the poolside chairs, and special thanks to Alisson, Daniel, Eduardo, Yan, the two American football fans at the front desk (so sorry your names slipped my mind), and many more. The rooms (ultra suite) were very spacious, clean, very comfortable beds, and Greta/Alan were amazing butlers that took care of every reservation we needed and more. I can’t speak to the noise level during the busy season since we went during October/hurricane season when it’s less busy, but the live instrumental music, poolside music, and overall noise level from guests was very peaceful in the lobby and balanced poolside - not a party vibe but not boring either- perfect for the adult only relaxation we were looking for. The property was so beautiful. The only thing I wish I had done differently is bring cash for tips instead of relying solely on charging to my room when signing the receipts. Some services do not require receipts and it wasn’t made clear if gratuities were included with the all inclusive package or not. My only other feedback is that the check in process was long due to a large group ahead of us, but the staff did make sure to offer drinks while we waited. Overall fantastic place that I’d highly recommend.

  I had to rate Hotel Mousai overall, I’d give it 4 stars—but DAO and David get 1,000 stars out of 5! They are absolute musts from the very start. Out of all the Asian food I’ve ever had here in Mexico, DAO is hands down the absolute best. It was so phenomenal that I would seriously come back to this hotel just to dine here again. Among all the incredible staff members we met, David (David Glez) is the absolute best. I specifically wrote down his name just to make sure I gave him a shoutout in this review! On our last day, David and the team made our farewell so happy and unforgettable. We told him to surprise us with any dessert of his choice, and even that impromptu recommendation was out of this world—it tasted so incredible. While NOI gets a lot of hype, honestly, it was a bit underwhelming. Misiki is also great with very friendly staff, but across the entire resort, DAO and David are the true highlights of Hotel Mousai!"

  Puerto Vallarta Mexico

  Excellent, great view, very clean, great food and service. We had all inclusive but you still have to sign receipt for anything you order and of course they asking for gratitude but the prices are just like in States or higher so do your math. You don’t have to tip , nobody force you to do that and they’re ok with that but guys who work around you and cook for you work really hard and they always smile. I don’t know how resort distributes tips that’s big questions mark but cash is the KING.
