    Norfolk Island and Tasmania 2026

    We stayed 2 nights and had booked well ahead a received a good deal for the Ground Floor Queen and Single Room with Garden View. The view out the windows was a small strip of grass, some trees and the Conglomerate Creek running behind the complex. Nice spacious room, TV, Microwave, Kettle and Toaster with coffee, Tea etc. Small dining table and heater, no Air conditioner. Bed was comfortable. Shower over a bath, good size vanity. Parking is not allocated, first in first parked and is tight. Motel has restaurant with good selection on the menu and the Meat Lovers Pizza was great. Lounge and bar available. Friendly reception. Close to town.

    Worth staying and eating at.

    I got a beautiful room, large, babbling brook outside the window. Ate at thr restaurant and had an amazing steak burger. Even thr drinks were super cold. Very happy with the place. Friendly staff too.

    Comfortable Stay with Great Location and Easy Access to Attractions

    Stayed in a King Room with Garden View. The location offers easy access to both the city and nearby attractions such as Iron Blow Lookout, Horsetail Falls, and Nelson Falls. It’s within a short walking distance to the city, and there is plenty of parking space available.

    Great place to stay.

    From the moment we booked to the time of leaving (late check out) we couldn’t fault their performance. They worked well with our dietary requirements. Food was delivered to our room. Bathroom had shower over bath but they had handrail in shower and also a bath mat so you didn’t slip in shower. Very impressed with the service. The buildings are older but well maintained. Very roomy for a motel room. Great value for money. Great spot close to town yet quiet. I would recommend this place and we will definitely be going back.

    Never again

    After many great stays with tour groups at the Westcoaster motel over the past 15 yearsI will never book another group into this motel. The new owners have no communication skills at all, they demanded payment as far out as 6 weeks when I have only ever paid on departure, the meals were very poor, there was never enough cutlery for everyone, I asked them if they could do a simple lunch of soup and a bread roll and we received cold, watery, powdered pumpkin soup and one small piece of bread each and they had the hide to charge $15 a head ( despite most people not being able to eat it) . They asked if they could do a buffet dinner on the second night as they were going to be too busy to do a 2 course dinner, after only half of our group had been to the buffet the owner Rachel started telling people to “not put too much on their plates” as the food might run out, I have never been so embarrassed in my 22 years of hosting tour groups around Australia. Despite check out not being until 10am the owner was going around asking people to vacate their rooms early, so they could start cleaning them. Over all it was the worst stay at any accommodation in all my 22 years
