  Lovely hotel but high bar prices.And Laurel&Hardy must have been the carpenters,.

  We spent three nights at the Riu plaza hotel it is a lovely hotel the room gives you that wow factor and the views from the 16th floor is incredible,but I could not believe the way the room was finished I thinkl Laurel&Hardy had done the skirting and the fancy boards they have a inch gap which was incredible.Would love a reply if they had done the job.We never had food at the hotel and drinks were 7.50 euro a pint and a small coke 5 euro the barman said do I want the change I said yes at those prices.

  Stay elsewhere for the price

  Very average stay at the Riu Berlin Plaza. Service was fine and the hotel has a big lobby but the room was quite underwhelming. More like a 2-3* hotel than a 4*. Better options are available at this price point. Close to public transport. I also had housekeeping knock on my door on the morning of my check-out.

  Perfect stay as always!

  We always stay at Riu Plaza when we go to Berlin because we find it perfect in every way! Staff are friendly and helpful, hotel very clean and modern. Perfectly sited for central Berlin.

  Great base for exploring Berlin

  This hotel is a great base for exploring Berlin- right near Wittenbergplaz UBahn and very close to SBahn and busses all over the place - there is a Lidl right up the road for room snacks and drinks loads to see and do in Berlin we found a great restaurant just round the corner called Bola and they do a fantastic breakfast with delicious real freshly squeezed orange juice - the airport is easily accessible by train and takes around an hour. There was only one small negative about the hotel and it didn’t impact our holiday at all but for a 4 star Riu hotel the room was a little shabby around the edges, the black out curtains were well worn and had lots of spots for light pollution and it didn’t meet the wall at one end and was unfortunately right by the head of the bed so you got blasted with sunlight directly into your eyeballs, there were missing tiles in the shower, the shower leaked and had an annoying dip in the shower tray that didn’t drain, the whole room including the bathroom were very dusty however the loo, sink and mirror had definitely been cleaned, the floor was a bit grubby and I had to brush my feet off to get in bed but the sheets and bedding were very soft and comfortable, lovely big bed in the kingsize room and a great view of Berlin we were on the 13th floor and the lift was super quick - all common areas looked very clean and well kept and the staff were friendly and helpful all in all a great stay. Would recommend getting the Berlin welcome card it gives you free travel and free access to loads of places including the TV tower which was brilliant the all inclusive includes a hop on hop off bus and an hour boat trip but be aware all museums are closed on a Monday if we’d have known this we’d have started our card a day later 👍🏽 thanks for a great trip Berlin 😻

  City centre break

  A typical Rui hotel - classy and efficient. Good location, good service and comfortable room. The reception staff stood out as helpful and courteous. Only two grumbles, the lack of an English speaking channel on the TV which didn't help relaxation in the room and the limited dining choices in the evening making it a challenge to find a good restaurant in the locality.
