Dec 12, 2025Not a great place to stay
The room was super humid and the ac was very poor. The maids turned it off while we were gone which made the room smell, humid and hot. The beds were awful as were the pillows. The breakfast was outstanding and very good. I did not care for the location. Too much traffic and exhaust fumes out front door. Was close to attractions by uber though. Staff was not pleasant at pool Restauraunt and talked to one another while drinks sat on bar melting. My drink was not made until I made a comment to a lady who asked how things were 25 minutes after I had ordered it. Then the bar tender made it. I was told 10 minutes after I had ordered it that it was requested. The staff was all gathered and talking every time I went there. No clue how to hustle and serve. Their demeanor changed to unpleasant when I told the lady I’d been waiting 25 minutes for my drink. They were clearly mad I said something. lol I won’t be back or recommend this hotel.

Dec 12, 2025Overall Nice but Overrated
This hotel is nice but not as nice as it looks from photos. There was mold on the ceiling in a hallway, it took forever to get to the higher up rooms, and one of the servers picked his own tip instead of letting us choose so be careful. There are 2 sets of elevators so I recommend trying to get a room on a lower floor because those elevators come more often. We waited a long time very time we tried to go up or down to our room and the elevator jumped once and then broke luckily letting us out first. The breakfast buffet was included and good. The lunch buffet was not very good and was overpriced but it did include free alcoholic drinks which was nice. The staff was very friendly.

I really enjoyed the value at this hotel. The location is great, the restaurant had really good food and the breakfast buffet can't be beat.

Best Stay Ever
I enjoyed my stay at Riu it was exactly what I needed for this trip. It was very centrally located so we got Ubers easily and the hotel was very clean. The beds were clean and comfortable and housekeeping keep the room maintained everyday. The breakfast was filling there was so many options and it tasted great. I must give a special shout out to Edison who took such great care of me every morning at breakfast. He was attentive, very friendly and made sure I always had what I needed. Riu also remembered my friend’s birthday and gave her a small cupcake and fruit which was a nice touch. Overall I highly recommend this hotel they are a reliable trusted hotel that has maintained a great standard. 10s all across the board

Panama Holiday
We loved the hotel and the breakfast and even the restaurant near the pool. Very happy overall with our experience.
