Overpriced for the accomodations and food

The staff were great and the location was great, so that certainly counts for something. You could walk to the lift in 5 mintes. It's just not a 4 star hotel, the rooms were Mariott quality at best and the food at the restaurant was terrible. If I had spent $400 per night I would not complain, but we paid $900 per night which is just WAY over priced.

All was well with the hotel terra- until the snow apocalypse of 2 inches.

Sometime around 1:00 a.m., a light dusting of snow (roughly 2 inches) apparently triggered a full-scale emergency response in the parking lot directly outside our room. Enter three heavy construction loaders, because obviously this was far too serious for a simple plow… or a shovel… or literally anything quieter. For hours, the machines would move a few feet, stop, reverse, and treat us to the soothing sounds of an ear-splitting backup alarm—ten beeps or more each time—before scraping the pavement like they were mining for gold. Add in stadium-level spotlights shining straight into the hotel rooms, and voilà: no one slept. The best part? It snowed the entire time. By morning, total accumulation was still under three inches, proving the whole operation was both loud and completely useless. Bonus feature: the parking lot was now extra icy thanks to the machines packing everything down into a lovely frozen rink. By 4:30 a.m., I wandered to the lobby with the thousand-yard stare of someone who hasn’t slept. Turns out the plowing was being done by JHMR—and shockingly, I was not alone. Phones were ringing nonstop with other guests asking why they were paying luxury-hotel prices for a front-row seat to an overnight construction documentary. The plowing wrapped up sometime after 5:00 a.m., just in time for hotel delivery trucks to arrive and unload loudly for the next two hours. We did not sleep a single minute after 1:00 a.m. When we asked about any kind of compensation, we were told that plowing and avalanche operations can’t be comped. (Those avalanche blasts shake the windows, but at least they wait until a civilized 5–6 a.m..) This charming parking lot sits between four hotels: The Hostel, Hotel Terra, Gravity Haus, and Teton Mountain Lodge. Everything was peaceful during our mostly snow-free stay. The moment the first snowflake fell, however, the fun was officially over. The staff at Hotel Terra are genuinely great—but if you’re booking this hotel expecting rest, you may want to reconsider. We had planned one last ski day, but after an all-night symphony of alarms, engines, and scraping metal, we were too exhausted to ski and instead chose the long drive home. If you enjoy sleeping, this may not be the experience you’re looking for.

    Overall, good stay

Location was good room was very nice and modern newly renovated. It seemed the only thing I did not love were the amenities the hotel as in it was a little bland, and it was a little annoying that we were in a separate tower from the main lobby, but if that being said we were able to book this hotel the day before we came the week of Christmas and we had a great stay

    This place fits and delivers

The rooms were beautiful and clean. I felt unusually inclined to remain in the hotel. Our room was truly impressive and comfortable. It even had a fireplace. Outside of the room we interacted with a handful of hotel staff and all were polite and displayed passionate hospitality. Front desk was unsurprisingly friendly, but a particularly pleasant interaction I had was with a man, Israel, who seemed to be maintenance. He helped us around with directions to the hot tub when he noticed on his own we were lost. He even came to check that we had made it there about 15 minutes later. Again, he did not seem to be in a role that required guest interaction and likely went out of his way to be conscious of us. We were impressed. Please consider Terra a prime option for a stay at the village.

I travel at least once a month on business.

I arrived in Jackson on business for a few days and decided to check out Teton Village. Totally worth it. The room seems to be just renovated, staff at the front desk couldn't be more helpful. The gym is solid with great views when using the elliptical machines. It's totally worth the stay.
