  Do NOT stay here!

  Do NOT stay here!!! Very dirty & unkempt property. Did not feel safe here & would never return. We only stayed because we had already driven for over 12 hours & needed dog friendly lodging

  Nothing wrong with it

  I didn't actually read the reviews until after I stayed. But I didn't have any of the problems that people were going on about. Honestly there is nothing wrong with this place. It was clean, the staff treated me well. I was only here for a few days visiting family and had no problems at all.

  Basic

  Check in was ok other than being repeatedly told there is a $50 deposit that I will get back in 7-10 days IF everything is ok with the room. The room was very sparse, on check in I was told there was no fridge or microwave, that was a $5 upgrade 😳 I didn’t need either so wasn’t bothered, however my booking stated that there would be a coffee machine and ironing facilities in my room, no to both. I went to reception to get an iron I was told I needed to pay a $5 deposit for their crappy $5 iron. I told him I needed it for 5 minutes and there was supposed to be one in my room, so he didn’t take a deposit. My room had a strange musty smell, I put it down to the air con not being on. Later that night I realised the smell was coming from the far side of the bed. I think someone had spilled milk or similar and it had soaked into the mattress. As a result I didn’t get a great nights sleep. Breakfast was standard American, check out was another round of telling me I would get my $50 deposit back in 7-10 days if everything was ok with the room. I don’t think there was anything in the room worth $50. I wouldn’t recommend this place

  Things have clearly gotten better

  I'm writing this review to add my experience to the wildly divergent reviews of this Motel 6. If I had read the bad reviews before arriving, I likely wouldn't have booked it. Let me be as clear as I can: this is an "outdoor entrance to each room" motel in a questionable part of town. There will be sirens, train whistles, and noise directly outside your door overnight. This part of the city attracts people looking for social services and they often have nowhere else to go. The staff aren't whistling while they work. The shower head won't be adjustable and there isn't a spa on site. If these are deal-breakers for you, then pony up and pay for a real hotel. HOWEVER, it delivers more than it promises. My room was relatively spacious, surprisingly clean, and I had no difficulty with anything in it. The bed was comfortable and the hot water was abundant. My one gripe as a tech guy: no electricity near the desk, only by the bed - but I've been equally disappointed with that in five-star hotels. The other reviews here contain horrors that just seemed almost impossible to reconcile with what I saw. I'm sure some of them are real, but I saw nothing even adjacent to the things others have claimed or complained about. If you need an inexpensive place to stay and just need a place to sleep, shower, and use the restroom, this is more than OK. I would stay there again.

  Short stop, friends traveling through

  We had just a one night stay & checked in late. Front desk was friendly, I even called ahead to Let know traveling from a distance & so arriving late. They said not a problem. The room was clean, in a decent location near where we were traveling through. Not fancy but didn’t need to be. Overall, good experience and wouldn’t hesitate to use again.
