Three Ole's for this fabulous hotel
This hotel is situated in the heart of Madrid, close to excellent restaurants, the main plaza, the Cathedral, and the Palace. The front desk staff - Benjamin and Christina were very friendly and helpful. They did a very quick and efficient check-in and check-out. Marco, the Concierge, was especially helpful with tickets and restaurant recommendations. His recommendation to go to Bodega de la Ardosa was especially rewarding - it was a true cultural icon to enjoy. The Super Star of the hotel is the bartender Sergio! He is exceptionally friendly and engaging. Relaxing at the bar with him makes you never want to leave Madrid!!! Overall - a great hotel in a fabulous location, with exceptional staff that will make your stay seem like you truly feel - mi casa, su casa!!

The Hotel is great but the surroundig areas (Gran Via and Calle Chinchilla) are terrible, very very dirty and full of homeless people.

The Hyatt Centric is actually a great place to stay. Beautiful hotel in the middle of everything. The only complaint I have is we checked out a day earlier and never received our credit for the day. I talked to the hotel and they were going to get right back to me and I have never heard back.

Excellent Stay, But Checkout Could Be Handled Better
The location is perfect, with very helpful concierge service and outstanding housekeeping — our room was cleaned daily with fresh sheets and towels. Breakfast was a bit limited, but the staff were kind and did their best. However, during checkout, two reception staff approached me rudely while I was loading my bags into a taxi, accusing me of taking someone else’s luggage. Instead of offering help or checking CCTV, they caused unnecessary stress as I was rushing to catch a flight. Despite this, I still rate the hotel highly and hope the staff handle such situations more professionally in the future.
