Hotel was amazing apart for gonna get £100 parking fine When I ask staff about parking they said pay after and when I went to leave and pay there was no option to pay just pay when arrival and couldnt notify about how long id already being there so it was misunderstanding during to staff miss advisement.

Birmingham Business Trip
Stayed for one night whilst on a business trip. The room was spacious and clean, with a desk and chair suitable for working. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. The room size was generous and comfortable. The air conditioning, kettle and safe were all in good working order. The television was a good size. The lobby was pleasant, and the swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms were clean and well kept. Checkin staff were professional. The hotel is conveniently located close to local restaurants and pubs. I would stay here again on my next visit.

Birthday stay at Hyatt regency
I like to visit different hotels on my husband’s birthday so we came to this one as it isn’t too far and it has spa facilities. I have to say from the staff to the facilities to the bedroom and the fact that you can still use spa facilities after check out, our stay was actually amazing.

Fabulous Lunch!
We went here for lunch. Lovely attentive staff who could not do enough for us. My husband had a Halloumi Burger and I had a Grilled Vegetable Pizza. Delicious. We had a Chocolate Fondant pudding which was very tasty. Definitely recommend and will return for another meal.

Sad to write this review. After 25years of coming to this hotel and celebrating different occasions here it’s sad that our time is coming to an end. A couple of times we have been here it’s been little things that have been wrong,like the service from some staff or the breakfast. But never nothing major that I would give them a bad review. On Sunday we stayed here for our annual Christmas night out and to say we left not very happy was an understatement. On checking in we asked for an upgrade which is perfectly fine.we was charged an extra £300 which as it was Christmas we decided on treating ourselves but it is never normally that much.and apparently it was the last room Which later on we found out to be a lie. And when looking later on in the evening it was cheaper on the app. when arriving back at the hotel at 11:10pm we was greeted by a very rude security woman who asked if she could help we said no thank you and she just told us to go to our room!!! We was told before we left that the bar closed at 12am,when entering the bar at 11:15 it was all closed up and they was asking people who was already in there to leave. When we asked why it was closed they said management had decided to close the bar at 11!! We asked if would be able to get a drink and they said you can via room service in our room. We went upstairs to call room service to be told that it closes at 11:30,not sure since that changed. The lady had to call back to see if she could bring us a drink which took 15minutes for the call back. So after nearly 35minutes of waiting our drinks arrived which then cost us £47 for gin and lemonade and 2corona because of room service charge. When we woke the next morning to go for breakfast at 10:10am as breakfast didn’t finish till 10:30 everything was finished closed up and put away,couldn’t get as much as a hot drink. When voicing our opinion’s they was totally disregarded. This hotel has always been the place to be and the some of the staff Craig (especially) on conceirge. Victor.James and waz the bar man are the only reason we actually return because they make you feel so welcome and they are what the Hyatt hotel is ment to be. Friendly,helpful and worth the Money. But unfortunately how it’s being run at the moment whether it’s new management or what it’s going down hill rapidly. It’s a shame we actually tell people to go else where rather then here. Because what should have been our Christmas treat turned out to be a massive Rip off and waste of money. Try the grand hotel if you’re thinking of coming to Birmingham.
