    Well maintained resort, but tired rooms

    The beach across the street was beautiful. We got some beautiful sunset shots. There were parks and shopping within walking distance. The rooms were dated, but the common spaces were very well kept. Not a fan of resort fees. Wish they would have included in the cost of the room since they are mandatory anyways. Overall we had a nice stay on Oahu.

    Good experience

    Pretty good hotel for a 7 night stay around Waikiki. Staff was very helpful most of the time however, the hotel could use some renovation expecially in the Eva tower where my room was assigned. The ocean front view was unmatched to anything and made up for the lack of an updated room.

    Grace was the star of our trip!

    Grace at the front desk absolutely made our honeymoon stay at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. From the moment we checked in, she took the time to walk us through our Explorist benefits and made sure we understood exactly what was available. She clearly took genuine pride in making sure we felt celebrated, and worked behind the scenes to get us a beautiful room that made our trip feel truly special. It’s rare to find someone who goes above and beyond the way Grace did. She was warm, attentive, and treated our honeymoon like it mattered to her too. If you’re staying at this property, we hope you’re lucky enough to have Grace take care of you at check-in!

    Not so great experience

    We were upgraded from an oceanfront room with two queen beds to a junior suite. While the suite itself was nice and spacious, it had a very limited ocean view. I’m not sure I would really consider this an upgrade, since we had to sacrifice the oceanfront view. We were also told that the room would be quiet, but unfortunately, I could barely sleep the entire night because of extremely loud motorcycle noise from outside. What disappointed me most was the inconsistency in service. We were told that a welcome amenity would be delivered to our room, but nothing ever arrived. When I followed up with the front desk, another staff member told me there was no such amenity and suggested that I wait another day to speak with the staff member who had originally told me about it. I was quite surprised by this response, especially since we were checking out the next day. A bit disappointed with the overall experience.

    Hyatt at Waikiki

    Location of this hotel is one of the best in Waikiki. Also, the staff is extremely courteous and helpful. The Hyatt regency upgraded our room to king suite with ocean front view and is one of the best rooms we stayed at in all of our travels. They provide all of the basics in your room to include a kimono robe and slippers. The Nespresso machine is also a nice touch. The bed and pillows are also comfortable.
