Hyatt Vivid Grand Island 10/10 Experience
This place was amazing! The food, the staff, entertainment, pool, and the beach, were more than I could have ever dreamed. Cesar, part of the entertainment crew, was a joy to be around and made sure to let us know what was going on around the resort. Orlando, also part of the crew, made sure you were always enjoying everything around you and participating in events. Gibran, also part of the entertainment crew, never failed to make us laugh and made sure we were enjoying our stay with the activities he had planned. We were waited on by many, amazing & helpful hands, Freddy, Gustavo, and Pedro, made sure our drinks were always delicious. The food here was always well prepared and very tasty. We made a lot of new friends this trip, and would recommend this place to everyone! If you go, make sure to meet Cesar, Orlando, and Gibran to ensure you have a great time, they will not disappoint!

Check Out Cancun’s New Resort!!
Hyatt Vivid Grand Island is a BEAUTIFUL resort. Everything feels new and that comes with its growing pains, but boy are there highlights! First off the golf course out front looks impressive, and then you pull up to a very cool looking building. The pool downstairs is slightly heated and gets lots of sun. They have activities throughout the day and they all revolve around the pool. We opted for the Vantage Club and Carlos makes the BEST drinks. With that you get access to the roof top as well and WOW what a view… supposedly they have the longest rooftop pool and it is stunning. It gets pretty windy up there though, especially at night, I wish they’d have put up some sort of barrier during our dinner because it definitely ruined our experience despite the Japanese food being pretty good. However, back downstairs Guadalupe makes the best ceviche!! It’s located towards the back behind the pool, so it’s a little hard to find but definitely worth checking out. It’s so fresh, I ate it everyday I was there. Jesus is also an amazing host with impeccable customer service. He even cleaned my sunglasses while I ate. Speaking of food, all the restaurants were great and the breakfast buffet was one of the best resort buffets I’ve had. They have a shuttle that takes you to a private beach and the water there was SO BLUE. Be sure to bring lots of sunscreen. Everyone there is super friendly and accommodating, I’d love to stay there again.

Don’t bother!!
Not worth it!!! Only writing more so that this shows up. The only resort that was worse overall was the Now Larimor in Dominican Republic. I would never stay here or recommend anyone stay here. Food was not worth eating. Resort was lacking in every way.

No 'advantage' to the advantage club
Advantage Club: There was no 'advantage' to paying for the advantage club. There was no policing of rooftop access, so everyone just used it, no matter what floor they were on. Also, top shelf alcohol only at the roof or on the ground floor ‘Advantage Club lounge’ was pretty bogus. There should be a way staff knows you are in the advantage club and could therefore police the roof access and serve the top shelf liquor at all the bars, as opposed to only two. Wind: The Oshii restaurant was too windy to attend (although we saw people gutting it out wrapped in towels), but gale force winds during dinner is untenable. There was no advantage to being on the 11th floor as they were dragging furniture above my head nightly. Resort Access: Almost every day or night or both, there were areas of the resort closed to the paying guests for private functions. Closing portions of a small resort like this for private functions is unacceptable to me as well. Noise: The hall noise was like a college dorm, so whoever did the interior design really dropped the ball on noise control. Putting me in a room with an ice maker at the front, and a staircase adjacent was horrific for the noise. The '10' rooms (ie my room 2110) should have been for maintenance/service, so again, poor design. Beware the ‘10’ rooms at all costs. Golf: Having nothing in place to help golfers access the course we see off the balcony is also an opportunity lost in my opinion. Getting an Uber to and from an adjacent golf course? Again, just bad management. On the plus side, the staff were amazing and helpful. The food was very good in the restaurants we could access (see above note re Japanese), the waiters attentive-in particular Isaac at the French and Diego at the Mediterranean (breakfast) deserve recognition. The air conditioning in the rooms was fantastic and the activities/activity team were impressive in particular the paint and the gastronomy. Also, I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the staff member who ran the tequila tasting whose passion for the craft was impressive, but whose name escapes me (although he has an agave plant tattooed on his arm-so that should narrow it down). At the end of the day, what people want to know is ‘would you go back?' Unfortunately, my answer would be no.
